Greedy, greedy bastards. I pay for the game and then they stick adverts in to get paid a second time. I fucking hate the direction games are headed these days...

I think you may be over reacting a little, read what it says:

"The agreement, which also includes the online title Football Manager Live, will offer advertising opportunities to firms similar to real football, with league and tournament sponsorship as well as pitch-side billboards."

I cannot see this as a problem, If the pitch view has advertising hoardings and billboards on the side, or they game puts the sponsors logos on the shirts. The carlgin logo for the cargling cup etc.

Now what would be unacceptable is having to watch adverts when clicking through pages or waiting for things to load.

I hope advertising becomes a norm in games, it ushers a way for free gaming. Like the DICE guys with their latest BAttlefield thingy.

Pretty soon, as the game industry is bigger then the movie industry already, there's gonna be free games for all. I wouldn't mind pepsi banners popping up here and there for a free game.
