loose out on 20% on the colddebuff but guard combined with determ5 is REALLY REALLY good, it saves you longer vs a good assistrain then a cleric ever could.

don't know what best is for midgard. i try to trow something in


mid tankgroup with mls:

PF zerker banelord
savage battlemaster
warrior battlemaster
shaman perfecter
healer augmend perfecter
healer pac perfecter
healer pac/mend/aug/whatever perfecter
skald warlord


cba to research this setup with artifacts. just wait till the full tweaked rvr guilds arriving emain

caster grp with out guard will be fun to meet :> can imagine dh w/o tusk etc :p good you have 2x bof, so you can survive for atleast 1min before you die

I can't see the alb PBAE setup (ours that is) changing at least until BOF is nerfed. At the moment Bodyguard against a tank group is much like a fifth wheel - nice, but not really necessary.

Our rvr group actually ran with RR6 guild SB one night before TOA came out :p Simply because we didn't want outsider and we were lacking one tank, and no tanks online in guild ;p It was rather fun, sure we lost more than with normal setup but won even (RR wise) fights also. It's not totally ineffective.

But after all, the game is more about fun than winning.

We havent run with a tank in our group uh, for uh, 5-6 months? Yea about that...

We recently lost our mind sorc though :( (he quit the game, or at least a long break) And we might try a shield tank... Oohwell, we'll see, wont see us back in rvr for uhm, 2-6 weeks... (damn ML's & Artis)

that got me thinking (it has now been put up in another thread). It's a good report - but as he points out master abilities aren't really being used effectively in rvr. It occurred to me that as the effects of mls/ artifacts start to be understood more it might lead to alot more variety than the usual cookiecutter set ups - which tbh gets dull. Guess only time will tell :)

TBH its necessary to have 1 tank. Slam works in a PB-box. Grapple will work in a PB-box.

Missing out the most overpowered Masterlevel Path in roaming RvR (Battlemaster) is asking for a smack-down. Perfecter is very good for PvE and keep/MG-fights; but nowhere near as good as Battlemaster in roaming-RvR.

PB-boxes will not work as soon as you get an enemy with 1 ML1 Banelord. Fighting a PB-group without bodyguard/guard will be like before except you now can debuff their cast-time to 3secs/PB, insta-interrupt their asses from range, drain their mana and such.

IMO its silly not to include atleast 1 Battlemaster. But we'll see :)

Grapple is buggered atm - the caster is stunned (so cant do anything) for the full duration, the target stun time is affected by det. Not good :(
