Bleh if someone on my side kills me once I forget it. But if it happens a second time and it looks deliberate I say fuck the GPs and go kill the bastard.

If someone even fires a gun in my direction (when there is no combat going on) just because they are bored, then I will assume they have been "turned" by some alien Vanu device and attack them back.

Serves them right.

Most annoying thing is when you get some monkey raving a vehicle around the sanctuary, slamming into people. Yep, they get grief points, but so do I when I come out of a doorway and they hit me head on.

Great.

And you cant even shoot them, bah :)

i think it's inevitable that people using MAX units probably have the most greif points, especially when there's a big fight going on (and omg there was some big ones on last night, Amerish and Cyssor were insane). Like Envenom says tho, you've got to forget it and move on. friendly fire will happen and it doesn't bother me if it happens in battle, in the sanc it's annoying tho. I do send an apology /tell if i hit some one or kill someone tho, actually, my first tk was last night so once again "SORRY KATYA :("

I don't know why if i get run over i get some greif points as well tho, that seems a bit strange.

On another note, not sure if it's a bug or something but why do i lose small amounts of hit points when i run down a flight of stairs? the only way i can seem to reduce the loss is be sort of walking sideways down them and going across diagonally.

I managed to rack up 502 GP last night, but only because in the heat of a battle, some idiots were spawning vehicles and leaving them on the pad meaning that no one else could spawn a vehicle.

So I just blew the damn thing away (Yes, I know they'll disappear after 30 seconds or so, but when you've got 10 people all waiting for a vehicle, that time adds up.)

So after someone spawned a reaver and left it there, I blew that up, then some other IDIOT spawns a Galaxy and leaves it there!!!

Now no way am I gonna blow that away quickly, so I have no choice but to leave it.

I'm sure there are people who deliberatley do this to slow down our advance.

And the running down stairs thing and taking damage. How annoying is that. Maybe the devs will put safety rails along all the staircases so we don't hurt ourselves. ;)

Depends on who you kill and the situation m8.

I never intentionally tk anyone, never have, never will, but on 2 occasions in beta when i have accidentally killed someone the flood of abuse i recieved was horrific.

Almost reported one guy coz when i put him on /ignore after a flood of very personal insults his outfit m8's started flooding me with insults, then 6 of the muppets chased me all over hossin tking me constantly.

This was all the resuly of an infili running through my fire arc when i was killing a max and getting clipped in the process, NOT my fault at all.

After 30 minutes of this i changed character to get away from it, when i logged my main on later that day, the flood started again and so did the tking.

It's frightening to think you had to go to the trouble of strating a new char just to get away from that, sorry to hear it. Great that you decided to stick with PS tho, i'm sure an experience like that could have put a lot of people off, just goes to show, arseholes are everywhere.

Like i said in an earlier post tho, as a Terran in beta i just didn't find it that friendly, don't know how much that is to do with the fact that the beta was being played on a stress head US server but Werner doesn't seem anything like it.

It's us calm Europeans you see, makes all the differnece ;)

At the moment, I have two chars that drive tanks (1 Lightning, 1 Magrider) and the grief points are amazing.

Although I have to say, it's getting to the point where I'm starting to say f**k the grief points, if you get in my way you're going to get run down. I can't stop quickly, can't manoeuvre out of your way if you're on foot, why can't people watch out for a tank coming past? Or in some cases, SEE the tank that is clearly in their field of vision (OK disregarding lag and stuff).

My gunner (in the magrider) has a macro saying "watch your backs, tank coming past" but people still don't look/listen. I simply cannot help muppets stepping out in front of my magrider (even, before someone suggests it, going very slowly at 2kph).

If I get the name, and am not already pissed off at muppets diving under the jets of my tank, I will /tell them that I'm sorry, most of the time if I actually kill someone it's because I or they are lagging, and if I explain this, they are usually OK. But it annoys the hell out of me.

Anyway rant over.

By the way, to the person who said, why do I get grief points when someone hits me, it's because you've damaged them/their vehicle. Grief points are not done on intentions, nor on who has done the most damage, it's done on the amount of damage you do to the other person. Ergo, yes you got (example) 2 grief points when that Lightning hit you, but I'll bet he got (example) 20.

:p

Fortunatilly greif points dissapate in real-time, so after a hard evenings battle, your greif points will slowly fizzle away while you sleep and work :)

Im not sure if its me.. they take my br14 chicken uniform for some mark of battle chief .. anyway i usually enter doors first to spray the rockets for softening the infantry for jackies, but mainly i do it because every damn NC seems to be just camping the door on the outside trying to make a decision when to get in. So as soon as i peek around the door .. see the resistance and press the magic burst button.. unload the 6 rockets into legs of gathered infantry... i try to get out of the room.. try backing off and thats when the good ole lads push me all the way inside the room with their mighty bodies and that eventualy gets us all dead. They shoot me in the back as im being pushed into the room so they get GP.
Second episode : NC are still camping the door .. noone goes in. From the last death i approximately know the position of camped MAX units and heavy infantry... so i grab my Specialist gear [thumper +rocklet] and head for the door. Start lobbing the nades with thumper... after my second shot NC rush the room.. Ivan gets shitloads of GP ... rambos that rushed in get wasted rather fast.

I tend to think that it has to do with people playing PS being 'killspam horny' and possibly CS background <no offense intended>. Especially the gits with Jackhammers, they always try to block you from anything that moves in front of you.. such heroic deeds.

Anyway this is how i have 600 GP. The grief from killing gen destroyers is long gone. When people try to intentionally kill grief me <kill me repeatedly> i dont play the game of you kill me i kill you.. i simply use /b 'How would you like to be reported to your outfit leader and GMs for griefing ? as a stupid moron or perhaps as an immature sod' ? ... seems to work marvels.

Bear in mind, when you say killspam horny, you don't get exp unless you actually make the kill, even if you did 99% of the damage. So unless these people are in your squad, I can see why some people are killspam horny - although personally while I like to get a kill message, it's not the be all and end all.

Annoys me when you are after someone, you get them down to almost no health and then some other muppet runs up, shoots them once and gets the kill and all the exp.
