More interesting are his views on the way he feels Greenpeace has been hijacked by nutters:

"That's why I left Greenpeace: I could see that my fellow directors, none of whom had any science education, were starting to deal with issues around chemicals and biology and genetics, which they had no formal training in, and they were taking the organization into what I call "pop environmentalism," which uses sensationalism, misinformation, fear tactics, etc., to deal with people on an emotional level rather than an intellectual level."

"After six years as one of five directors of Greenpeace International, I observed that none of my fellow directors had any formal science education. They were either political activists or environmental entrepreneurs. Ultimately, a trend toward abandoning scientific objectivity in favor of political agendas forced me to leave Greenpeace in 1986. The breaking point was a Greenpeace decision to support a world-wide ban on chlorine. Science shows that adding chlorine to drinking water was the biggest advance in the history of public health, virtually eradicating water-borne diseases such as cholera. And the majority of our pharmaceuticals are based on chlorine chemistry. Simply put, chlorine is essential for our health. My former colleagues ignored science and supported the ban, forcing my departure. Despite science concluding no known health risks – and ample benefits – from chlorine in drinking water, Greenpeace and other environmental groups have opposed its use for more than 20 years."

These are the same people who made that idiotic video of a plane crashing into a nuclear plant - where the reactor core is protected by a good 8ft thick wall of solid concrete.

And we've all seen the video of what happens when a plane meets even 3ft of solid concrete and proceeds to pretty much vapourise?

Greenpeace are all morons anyway so I don't see why most people listen to them.

Well, except for the 5 braincell parade.

Only problem is, Greenpeace have been given far too much credence from their former environmental activites. Unlike the Sierra Group or other such environmental groups, Greenpeace are viewed alongside such organisations as the RSPCA as something good.

Joe Public needs an education I'm afraid, and the government just simply isn't giving it to them.

Greenpeace certainly get my vote when they're complaining about spillages, contamination, habitats being destroyed. When however they start complaining about nuclear power, how windfarms are great, and how more runways are bad, they can fuck right off.
