I know the fan was being a C*nt here but im totally with the ref on that decision...is that really that different than cantonas kick on a fan? and he could have just triped him that was a propler malicious kick

that was a simple trip, absolutely no power in it.... tell me, what would the referee have done if that play ran on the pitch, punched him in the face and then got tripped by a player... sure he wouldnt have sent him off.

The guy shouldnt been on the pitch, was being chased and they would have smashed him to the ground harder, the player tripped him which enabled the stewards to catch him instead of running around for 30minutes ruining the game.. instead the ref ruined it. fecking twat. lol

Rofl, nowhere near what Cantona did. You're not with the ref here, you're saying the player should be banned for life, if you don't see the difference here..

Ok maybe i was a bit off with the cantona thing but i really dont think was a trip either....he kicked out at him! a trip would of just required a tap from his foot...not his whole leg....i still think it was a red card.

I think it's hard to determine, because from one perspective you could say get the fucker out of the field and get the game started again, and what he does really has nothing to do with the game, which I think makes it fair enough to get him down.

On the other hand, you also get a yellow card for taunting fans, for taking off your shirt, so I do understand, why not everybody would feel that way, but I think there are too many restrictions in the game as it is. Like the aforementioned taking your shirt off thing, allow people to celebrate.

I can see where your coming from with the shirt angle and i agree with you on that point but if we allow players to react to a fan running onto the field how long until its seen as normal for drogba to throw a coin back into the crowd? (ps im not saying he was completly in the wrong but come on he should have been smarter than that reguardless of how hard he threw it back)
