Right I want to make a CD for Christmas, so far I have decided I am going to put

Mariah Carey (all I want for Christmas)
Pogues (fairytale of New York)

imo chrismas songs are depressing...

require little talent to produce(musically)

i was watching VH1 a couple of days ago, and i just wanted to break everything

every artist that makes/sings a chrismas song are just in it cause its 'chrismas' quick easy money

imo pick x-mas songs that are obscure, ie no reference to the tradition... though pop is really crap 90's+

anyway im rambling now, just dont make an x-mas cd please:(

also added, Jingle bell rock and Step into Christmas.

as for psyco stop being a moany old prune :p

Christmas is what you make of it, its about sharing time with friends and loved ones, whether the songs are cheesy or not it gets people smiling thinking of when they were children being excited. I am 28 now and I still get very excited over Christmas.

everyone has mentioned stuff i have on my christmas cd already but:

think tris said it but the one from die hard "let it snow" deserves mentioning again

sleigh bells riiing are you listnin' in the laaane snow is glistnin' laa dee daa daa daa forgotten the words walkin in a winter wonderlaaaand!

bing crosby selection
i personally prefer the judy garland version of have yourself a merry little christmas

and whats that one from the santa clause where they all go high pitched and sing really fast like daa daa da daa *higher* daa daa da daa *even higher* daa da daa daa dont know any of the words but if anyone knows what it is i'd love to know, think it was on an advert reciently too. im so helpful lol

i love christmas music \o/ (but oh man those guys from wizard are tres scarey when theyre singing i wish it could be christmas ever day)
