had a brilliant time yesterday, went to "The last night of the Christmas Proms" with the bournemouth symphany orchestra, wore me new skirt and sexy shoes...(see sexy shoe thread from earlier this year) and christmas sweater so felt really posh all done up like that. The music was wonderful loads of festive classics, some modern ones too and a cracking version of mariah careys "all I want for christmas is you", there was the 12 days of christmas where the audience had to do actions and when they did sleighride we all had to jingle our keys for the sleigh bells (god bless men and their inability to throw away keys when they have no idea what they actually open...B2's key ring was jingling like a fully tacked reindeer!).

Then (because I have a bit of a cold atm) we went to a curry house for supper (yay chilli and garlic chicken) lo and behold I feel right as rain this morning lol, I swear you ahev a cold you eat this and bam your well again!

Anyway so far this month I have done so many activities its made me head spin, it's been great! we've seen reindeer, been to winchester (where neither of us has been before) christmas shopping at a special christmas market by the cathedral, gone on 2 works christmas meals (and I never socialise!) and 2 meals out with B2 and the concert last night lol which I think is the last of the events I'd planned for, it's just the big day to look foward to now (wayhay!)

anyhoo twas a great time and if any of you get the chance to go to something similar i say do it, its brilliant ... oh and they made the host dress up in a giant oven ready turkey suit at the end which was rather funny...specially when he started jiving hehe

Just a word of warning there have been pickpocket gangs doing their thing at the BIC recently during gigs so watch after your valuables.

Jools was amazing. Not a sheet of music in sight -an incredible man. Ruby Turner was brill and the whole Boogie Woogie big band were spot on. Everyone was up and dancing. It was really Christmassy. Had a little walk round Bournemouth in the dark to look at the lights.

Feel full of cold this mornring, but it was worth the late night. Off to my friends house in Brighton for the day so our kids can play together. All ready for the big day now- 3 nativities done, I Christmas do (another tonight), the house is all decorated and candle lit, the food is bought, the fresh tree is barely dropping needles-yay. Mr R and I did the last of the wrapping on Sat night and we went delivering yesterday. Only have the chocolate log cake to make now and I just hope that I have enough stocking fillers -last year I had to pad the stockings out with fruit at the bottom as I had not bought nearly enough.

The kids are really excited, the letter to the Big Man went up the chimney last week. We saw Santa at Paulton's Park and at Bluewater and I had to stop Edmond from sitting on his knee.

I am looking forward to a lovely festive day today and drinks with the other mums tonight. Tomorrow I have 8 children coming round for a Christmas crafts session and lunch and then more for tea and then just 6 for lunch on Christmas Eve. I Love this time of year, I love spending time with friends and family and seeing the childrens faces as they creep down the stairs to see if Father Christmas has been.

Good Luck to Mr R who has to build the 12ft trampoline in the garden on Christmas eve before he goes to the pub!!!:D

He asked me to sit on his knee, which was worrying :p

Jools was brilliant, also had Chris Difford (Squeeze) supporting, although we missed that but he did come on with Jools and do a Squeeze number in a big band style, which was great as i loved Squeeze

Also Marc Almond was with him and did a few Soft Cell songs, again with the band and it was fantastic, he hasn't changed one bit, he's 52!!!! and still looks the same

and as russ says Ruby Turner was out of this world, what a voice

A really good atmosphere, made us feel very christmasy (sp)
