Great money prices at Hib Poem Contest

Well This Saturday the 9th of november at 20.00 cet The guild of Ilfirin-Arda will host a poem contest in the plains between MM and TNN. Together with us in the makings we have Both CBH and CF.

The poems told should be about the game, mobs, some other chars, or the evnt or atleast something to do with hib

To join the contest all you have to do is send me an e-mail to sindre84@spray.no and remember to put "poem contest" in the header. Please also add guild, and class!!

Why should i join u ask!!

Well a couple of reasons for that.

1. The judges, Elricstormbringer of IA, Gray of CF, and Asmodan of CBH will be the judges.

2. Goa though the contest was a good idea so, they have decided to help out, they will make us a stage, and who knows, more can come....

3. The prices. Well the prices in this contest are all given by the 3 guilds arranging. And the prices are good enough so anyone should join. Crafters who needs extra foundings, Lowlevels needing help to get gear, Guild wanting to get some money to help out the less fortunate.
These are the prices we have as now, but look for updates here, more prices might come

Prices:

1. Place = 1 Platinum yea i repeat 1 platinum
2. Place = 250 gold

So should be good enough reasons to join for everyone here.

PS. We need to limit the players who can enter, and that will be done with a mix of, 1. trying to get as many guilds in as possible and 2. lottery.

The players who can join will be edited on to this post on friday 12.00 cet

There is a reason i didn`t make the contest on a PvP server, that would be mayhem.

A little update though:

When we are at the contest the "main" speak must be held totally quiet, so that the contestanst can reach everyone. All talking should be in /g /cg /tell and so on.....


And if anyone is afraid to join, don`t be, i held this contest on a us server before, and the poem that won, was a 2 line poem, so no need to be afraid....no one of us are proffesionals either.

Little wolfy, sit stay
Cause i am gonna slay today

i found that extremely amusing

Well another update.

Quite a few level 50 items will also be prices:

Shield gems bracers and so on

And my mailserver suddently massed up,(at the worst time possible ofcourse) so a few of the mails i allready have got were saved, and some where lost, so if you want in, just post here instead.


Someone also msg`ed me and asked if he had to mail me the poem in advance to join??

NO, you do not need to do that. Just simply post your name and guild in this thread and write i am in.


If you are not sure you can make it. just say so and we will take that into concideration.

Ofcourse you can mail me aswell, but it doesn`t matter where you do it


There will be prices for stupidest poem and funniest so no one can make a fool of themselves. What do you say Hibbies, wanna show we are BETTER than the other servers who have tried this??

On a long enough time line, we've got to write something that vaguely represents stupidity!

Can more than one person from a Guild enter? As Vincible and myself both seem to be budding Lurikeen poets :eek6: ... and there may even be more people, who knows? :clap:

<sigh> Yes, and I know Piper is very proud of her poem all about her favourite toothpaste, which she will no doubt recite (several times) on the guild hunt tonight...


and to think I was just going to take a log of the guild channel tonight and pick out random phrases and throw them together to make mine :p

In the spirit of things here's a little something for our guilds favourite drunken player - I think all guilds must have one...

had too much vodka, I was out last night.
Took two painkillers when I got home,

Maybe I've been mezzed by some Albion spell.

No, I know this feeling, and its not from falling,

It's not the scout following me.

When I got home, I was drunk as a skunk,
My head it was pounding, my beer breath stunk,
I'd sent Lloth a text at two in the morning
Complaining of badgers, my spelling appauling.

I'd set out to conquer the whole of Emain,
At the time I seemed capable of rulling the game.
Alas my drunken stagger took me off course,
I was rightly screwed with no guiding horse.

And so in my stupor, i realised my wrong,
You're not meant to play when your minds totally gone.
Now I've recovered from my drunken mezz,
is there anyone around who can get me a rezz.

Well ofcourse you can,

but you need to be quick, i got 9 mails about people wanting to join, yesterday only. But in the case that we have to many, 1 of you might not get drawn in the lottery. But who knows, i that happens cooporate!!!!

Well here i am again.

2 more things this time:

1. I have been promised some more great items for the LUCKY ITEM BAG(tm). And as soon as i egt the screenies of the stats i will put them on the site.

2. Over 300 have read this post now, and only 10 or so have asked to join, why??. I mean, are you scared of making a fool out of yourself, then you are simply wrong, in RL i could understand, but here nah...

Also remember that when finished this is to be posted news about to camelot pages all over the world, and as long as the americans have had this type of contest, i`d say we should get a long a better one.

Don`t you guys wanna beat the americans??

Well as one of the judges and prizegivers I encourage everyone to be there and have some fun.

Fortunately I have to judge rather than do a poem which makes it easier.

Please note that I am not open to bribes :)

Please turn up and make Gohlanchdir's efforts worth it. After all, this is not just just an informal thing and you never know there may be some surprises.

Well ofcourse they are, they are equally as poetic as any other things
