Was too tired to make post last night but here it is. I'll probably have forgotten something
Original aim was to go around 8pm. A few of us had a chat on Wednesday evening and since there were 2 ML raids on Friday night we agreed we'd just go after they were finished and give it a go.
The details of the raid planning itself and tictacs etc are not for a public forum of course but those of us chatting voted and str relics won the vote.
Last night I logged on around 7:30 or so, when I was done dealing with work stuff, and started a CG so we could keep an eye on ML raid progress. I also sat myself down in Goth Harbour so I could PM anyone we'd missed. Great place to sit and say hi to people
The raid was later than I would have preferred but truth be told I'm not overly worried. I've seen all realms do raids that late and later on *weekends*. To be quite blunt you can consider anything up to Midnight on weekends prime time quite easily. Very high population on all realms. Still, won't pretend it was anything other than reasonably late by time we got going.
Fantastic discipline from Albs. That was really impressive. Good team spirit and nobody griping at each other or saying they can do this better or that better etc. Everyone got on and knuckled down to working well together. I think at Mjollneir thats the fastest I've ever seen doors go down on any raid I've ever been on.
Important thanks to Rains (Inf team leader) and Bankmanager (scout team leader) for the two jobs they did. Both were completely crucial. Big kudos to Forgotten Legends for being relic carriers for first relic and PE for keeping enemies off our backs so we could get down to business.
Big kudos to Sedde. If Mids only knew how close they came to getting 2nd and 3rd relics - Sedde managed to grab the relics when it went wrong but he got lost in the snow. We were frantically trying to get speed teams to our little lost paladin while the battle was still finishing off at Mjollneir. That was tense.
BIG THANKS TO WHOEVER INVENTED CAPSLOCK
And of course the various people who PM'd and kept me informed and prodded me with advice those times things got forgotten instead of blabbing on BG and causing confusion. I always feel guilty I don't/can't hardly answer but you chaps kept me on the straight and narrow.
Some general rambling:
When the ML raids were approaching completion, Mids were fighting Albs in Alb frontier. I think the peeps we had out there had got wiped anyway, but I'd asked if it was a stalemate for people to bungle a charge on a keep so Mids would camp and we'd look all beaten and lost. Reports of Hibs around were on the increase. It was a gamble but we stuck to plan. In fact, I was kinda glad Hibs had stuff to keep them occupied, it made our walk through the snow somewhat easier. At one point someone said in BG 4FG Hibs HMG before we left APK. They forgot to mention it was in Hadrians Wall, not Odin's Gate. Some amusing confusion followed.
Gratz to Hibs on power relic. I'm not sure if I've got the timing right but I think we were in Jamtland around then though I could be wrong. What you chaps were up to I was only aware of in the periphery as it were. I'd also like to thank the Hibs for not taking all the str relics the night before and giving them to us, which is what happened the only other time I tried to set up a pre-planned raid as an Alb
I saw a *lot* of Mids at Mjollneir. Time mattered last night, but not time of day. The number of Mids was more than plenty to wipe the Albs that were there when combined with relic guards which is in fact exactly what happened. So no complaining that Mids weren't able to defend due to time of day. Mid response time was good last night and on par with what was expected. Doors just went down very fast indeed.
There's been a fair bit of relic activity last couple of weeks. Nice to see this.

I think as the albs had the numbers to RR then it must have been primetime for alb.
As mids had the numbers to relic raid albs then it must have been primetime on mid.
As hibs had the numbers to nick the relic off the mids who had enough numbers to take a relic, there whole population of 1fg must have been playing therefore its hib primetime.
Half serious ofc but still...Albion had a full bg at one point. I think that says it all.
Still I'd prefer to have the power relics speaking for myself...hibs wanna trade?

Was a nicely done raid; doors went down quickly and our own relic got home in record time I think, a few more minutes having to stick around killing guards and holding off mids at the relic keep and we would have wiped before picking the other 2 relics up.
Mids did come really, really close to nicking their own relic back straight away.
An unbuffed scout with gimped stats and non-optimised gear is not really suited to being a relic carrier. At that point there were few Albs left alive and news of Mids chasing so I decided to split off from the fleeing Albs and head to the zone wall.
Think I'd just about crossed into Jamtland when a Skald jumped me, I really thought I wouldn't stand a chance and the relic would be lost but Traitor's proc and IP saved my arse. Kedarehar, if you'd stayed to finish me off first time instead of mezzing and running things would have been different. You may have killed me at the 2nd time of asking but I'd already transferred the relic to the Forgotten Legends carrier group at that point.
All in all a quality night's gaming. I can say that carrying a relic on your own and unbuffed gives a strange kind of adrenalin rush.

But I guess I just used a bit to much of my health to transfer to end to keep sprinting and tailing him trying to rip him open with my cute little claws. Darn if I only could get rid of my limping, I'd run like a deer instead and not like the valkyn savage I am. By the time he finally stopped for a brief, and another mid had catched up with us, I was below half life and didn't stand for all that long. *bummer*

problem was, shield specc > unbuffed skald
kinda smelt something odd when that pally got help from a sorc, but still just mezzed me and ran on.
tried to find him on the zonewall again with about no end left, just found Cybwyn... got away with about 1% health left after and emergency turning downhill when the FL group was about to run over me. <sigh>
