Albion Hibernia Midgard Total

Excal:
Active Characters 2,657 (42%) 1,892 (30%) 1,833 (29%) 6,382

Prydwen:
Active Characters 1,812 (42%) 1,050 (25%) 1,409 (33%) 4,271

Total on Excal and Prydwen:
Albion : 4469
Hibernia: 2942
Midgard: 3242

Ofcourse Midgard is underpopulated when it comes 'within 10% of Hibernia' from the whiners-PoV. However, some /who's the last weeks on the cluster showed that Midgards population > Hibernias population, and Duskwave seems to agree.

If anyone should have the underpop. bonus, it should be Hibernia. For the sake of preventing whines from happening, they gave it to Midgard xD

Or maybe a pure % number of active characters reported by duskwave doesn't quite give the whole story? You're an E&E, go ask a GM about it if you're so curious.

pupps post was just to inform misinformed ppl like whinylian about how it actually is I think though, since he quoted his post and responded to it.

guess GOA and their GMs should be the most "informed" people, and those decided that mid is the least populated ;)

So you are actually saying a GM said that mids have smallest population? Where did a GM say that? Link please or at least some solid reference.

Looking at the pure numbers like I have done for the last month or so, says something completely different. Also since I RVR pretty much I also see whats going on and not.

Hmm, if you look at at least Prydwen historically, Hibs have been very severely underpopulated in the past, mids have never ever been in that position. Dno how its been on Excal but i can imagine its similar.

I can maybe agree to that both mids and hibs are underpopulated IF you compare to albs, but noway that only mids only are. I dont think any realm _really_ is underpopulated as is now, the difference is marginal. Yet ppl like Cylian and Tesla among others claim something else, which is why I wanna keep track of the numbers in the way I started doing today, with statistics now and then.

I dont really care what's been said before either, what someone else said, and what the current numbers say, is different things.

we have showed ss of active characters that have been very close hib and mid wise before with hibs ranking in much more rps (actually if u removed the bonus rps from hibs at that time all realms had pretty much the same rps).

GOA decides who is underpopulated and not and apparently mid are in more need of underpop bonus then any other realm (although not much)

GOAs way of judging who shall and who shall not have bonuses is based or more things than simple numbers of active characters or accounts etc afaik. Think they even stated that in some news.

because mids arent underpopulated ;)

Mids have a bonus that is poorly named so it might lead to thinking a realm is underpopulated (it might be, but not necessarily). I've seen many examples of this in US aswell :)

I think that we have to take into account, that many "acctive char" are account that loggin to pay for house rent aswell.
Ofc all realm have them peps playing on glastonburry.

Look at housing and that tells you a different side of game. (follow the money and you will find the power)
Alb-e 593 vacant lots
Hib-e 826 vacant lots
Mid-e 840 vacant lots

Alb-p 866 vacant lots
Hib-p 1158 vacant lots
Mid-p 1049 vacant lots

Total:
Alb: 1459
Hib: 1984
Mid: 1889

1house/account, this way it should be hibs underpopulated with there 95 less than mid.
Albs still a good 400account ahead of mid, ofc statistics will never show the true numbers we are looking for.

Thnx for a nice sundaynight and my first R5L0, was all fun.

Don't know about Mids PvEing keeps, but I thought they did a great job to keep their relics with a split defence:drink:
After all that running about I dont know where they got the energy to stay up that late:)

Was fun tbh, especially when the message " you get 5211 realm points for successfully defending a keep" came up for the Glenlock defence,

that was satisfying :)

Was nice with some good ol' zerging realm defense. That's what daoc is about. And good job at keeping albs and hibs at bay and not letting them touch the relics. The retake of the keeps was just a mop-up, and a necessary one. I don't fancy zerging around defending the realm for a whole week, but it can be fun once in a while.
