Actually pets aren't meant to get through doors, it does however sometimes happen since (like many other things) daoc is buggy. Personally when it happens to me I find it very annoying, since the pet can't get back outside anymore (it has never happened so far that it bugged twice and the pet was able to buggily get through the door to exit too) and the pet can't come to defend you if you're attacked. And it's not like a pet is gonna kill anything inside a tower (can just drag it to the captain if nothing else). Also it's not easily repeatable to make your pet go through doors (in OF there was a way of doing it after the patch when it was meant to not be possible anymore but not anymore, atleast not that I know of)
