thinking of upgrading my graphix cards prolly get a new one for my birthday, atm i got a geforce 2 mx 64mb i think,
i was in comet today and i saw a geforce 5200 fx 128mb for £100
and i thought that sounded like one of the best, but i thought they were more expensive than that, so was that a good deal or are there better ones out there, looking to spend about £200
thx in advance

the geforce fx line is currently the biggest fck up ever

either go for a radeon 9800 or u can look for older geforce e.g. ti4200 which >>>>>> any of the new fx cards

The FX cards aren't bad, but the 5200 is. It's the budget one.

If you wanted that card though, £100 is like twice the price you should pay for it. Try buying online :>

I bought a GF FX 5600..

Im very pleased with it.

BURN ATI!

I refuse to buy ati cards due to previous bad impressions, for all i care ATI can stick their cards where the sun dont shine. :p

ATI used to have very bad drivers and stuff... but right now, they really are on top of the graphics card market.

When I had my voodoo2 I was reluctant to switch to nvidia... so glad I did now. I have the same reluctancy towards switching to ATI.... but I'll probably do it one of these days :p

will be 4600

The FX's above 5200 are better, but the equivalent radeons are better and cheaper
