I've just re-installed DAoC after a long break away , started playing to find my GFX are stuttering when i'm running about .

Now i don't recall it being like this on my old gfx card ( which was a radeon 9600 pro ) .

Current GFX card is a GeForce 7900GS PCIe 256mb .

Latest drivers and direct X installed .

Now having used ATI for so long i know next to nothing about which are the best drivers to use for GeForce , so if anyone could suggest a good driver that fits DAoC , along with newer games like BF2142 , NWN2 etc , i'd appreciate it .

Thanks in advance :)

Just use the all-in-one official forceware drivers from nvidia (www.nvidia.com). There are faster hacked around drivers out there, but those are always stable.

Currently using the 93.71 Forceware drivers from Nvidia , but as i said , i'm getting GFX stuttering when i'm running about .

I can't see it being my box thats causing the problems , system specs are Pentium D 3.4ghz dual core , 1.5gb ddr2 , Geforce 7900GS 256mb PCIe , SATA HD's , Audigy Soundcard .

Just wondering if anyone has any recommended Nforce driver that they use without problems .

Well, although im always keen to blame graphics card drivers for almost any PC related problem, if your using a GF7 and got the offical drivers then I doubt thats the problem.

Dont know what to suggest without more info, check your mobo drivers, sound drivers, do a memtest, defrag your drive, run virus and spybot scanners.

I think I know what u mean and I have no id what it is. It seems like the fps are bouncing between 5 and 25 fps all the time. I happens to me sometimes too, but usually a reboot helps for me.

Dunno what causes it tho.

Memory leaks most likley.

Do you have your mobodrivers (VIA, most likely) installed? The game shouldn't stutter on a GF7-gen. It doesn't on my ATi (comparable to a GF6 gen).

It's doubt it's memory leaks.. in any case, we don't know how much memory he has anyway. These days, you should have at the very, very least 1Gb. 2Gb would be better.

Apparently the 93.71 drivers are very buggy on certain games especially BF2142.
