Just completed the 'Dark Places Of The Soul' quest that came with the patch, god i love the reward

And it has no frame!!!!

Anyone that hasn't started this quest i heavily recommend doing it, i'm just about as happy as a guy can get. Kinda sad when you consider its just a few 1's and 0's but i don't care

Soloed all of it, mobs killed ranged from green <-> orange (Yeah, who says healers can't fight )

There was one part where i had to kill a mob in emain and i joined a group to get past the albi's (1hr after a new patch and they've already got 3fg in emain ) and then got help killing the mob, but it was yellow so chances are i could have soloed it.

Oh to make me day even better, guess who finally got his hands on a cloak[Edit = Cloak? I mean Robe ]. Thanks a lot Mythic/GOA, this has definatly been the best patch day ever

Circlets have frames, this doesn't.

Besides, i'm super-proud considering the quest was 28 step (including 2 sub-quests with were 7 and 5 steps respectivly) not to mention the prequisite quest 'Mucking through the ick' (i heard people were queueing to kill Ick )

Anyway, wheres the fun in getting the guild armourcrafter to make one and then slap on some custom stats... maybe a Re-proc if you've got some extra coin.

In my eyes this helm is worth a lot more than any crafted SC job, it represents my blood, sweat and tears (to use a popular metaphor, i don't think many people get sweaty from playing DAoC.. unless they have the heating up and the windows closed... but anyway) where as the SC suits represent some cash farming... Besides, some parts of the quest are cool and the story element is also kicks ass (if you enjoy a good story). I won't give any details so as not to ruin it for those that want to find out for themselves but we're talking WW's in Jord, trail by fire in Musph sort of stuff.

Definatly one of the best quests i've ever done. :great:
