Fine, if all the majority of the middies are standing in one place to be mezzed and the mino is able to mez them without interruption, fine if none of them purge, and fine if the infils can jump the healer and kill him/her within the time allowed by the 29 seconds (before resists) mez runs out and the guards kill them.

Perhaps it's possible, but it depends on a lot of things going completely right and coordination in a short space of time. The idea looks fine on paper but in an fast RvR situation there are a lot more factors which will screw a well organised plan up.

It's not that hard to wtfpwn a healer with a mincer and an infil (see instant stun+PA) then leggit back over wall.

But I still saw 3-4 living infils, and I saw Remeem solo on several occations.

and that would do what?....

erm... lets seee... 1/4 damage to 1 stunned healer, maybe bordering on 1/2 hp damge to a healer... and then..... comes to insta/normal stun/mez from the OTHER healer, along with the heal from the healer, and the to be expected death of the minstrel/inf duo that nievely thought they could take out a healer

well... yeah it sounds easy and goes well in your head, but i'd really like so see you try for yourselves against such odds, oh yeah it's easy to think Inf's can what... 2 shot? maybe 3 shot healers? i dunno.

but in reality, amongst the choas of PBAE GTAE and general guards running around it's alot harder to organise yourselves into suitable groups to take out specific people within a defended keep,

1. people don't really wanna die inside the keep when the doors are still being attacked, cause there's no way to get a res, so no one's really gonna put their lives on the line, as they're really after the RP's,

2. i'm kinda drunk and i'm just jibbering on endlessly,

3. girls just wanna have fun....

Yeah sure minstrels can go in a mezz... if they're willing to stand for 5 seconds in quite a laggy environment where their first attempt at AE mezzing will be interrupted cause they're apparently still "moving"... or they could stand there and have a 3 second single target mezz... cause those are even better (last 1 second less than the red con AE mez) before they're AE mezzed/stunned by the other healer or SM

it's pretty hard, even in open RvR against mids imo, not whining, just stating, but mids have like the most forms of insta AE CC in the game, which does kinda just puts them in the lead kind of thing if you think about it in a deep and spiritual way ya know?

48 suppression 24 darkness BDs have a pet melee health buffer and a str/con buff for pets.

On the screenie you see that the commander buffs dropping say:

"dread commander's extra strength fades"
"dread commander's extra health fades"

whereas the healer pet has:

"fossil healer's extra strength fades"
"fossil healer's extra strength fades"

So based on that alone there are THREE buffs in evidence, because even if they have the same first buff, the second ones have to be different. My guess is that the commander has an extra con or str/con buff. There are more on display here than the two pet buffs the cookie cutter spec BD gets.

Furthermore, does the melee health buffer say "extra strength fades" when the pet dies? My guess is no, but this needs confirming.

Finally, you can see that the BD herself has 2 buffs dropping when she dies. She ran solo and therefore benefitted from a buffbot. It would be insane to buff herself and not use the spare conc on her pets.

So I stand by my original assertion.

Remeem was killed on several occasions and was alone on several others mezzing the force...we had a LD on the walls and heck even I was close to dying a few times. You had so many openings to kill the healers, yet you failed, which is why I see this thread pathetic.

Exactly. Like how Enchanter has to compensate for having a pet with a sucky special RA like BaoD. Wizard's, regardless of spec, are gimped. You have to be blind not to see that.

Problem with wizards is that mythic intended them to be pure damage dealers and thus have no utility. But this just isn't the cash with the resists.

Obviously noone wants all the realms to be totally the same but as pbaoe is such a powerful rvr tool, its pretty dire that albs pbaoe class is so gimped compared to the other realms.

How anyone can compare a chanter with a pet, stun and baod or sm with a mez + crazy intercepting pet to an ice wizard is beyond me.

I'm jealous of midgard's rather nice position of having healers' pacification line with such an impressive array of stuns, mezzes and single roots, in combination with the most powerful PBAOE from the SM, with built-in intercept pet.

Anyway... It's due to this sort of thing that I'm leaving. Playing a wizard in RvR combat has taken it's toll on my patience for RvR and PvE really doesn't cut it if you feel the endgame for your character is gimped. So I'm playing out the remaining time on my account and will probably move on to SWG, or try out the GF add-on for RL

Maybe I'll be back one day if I feel the RvR is balanced more in favour of alb (and more specifically wizards), but this looks to be some time off yet.
