It's a paper I found [in this case on the smoothwall site] by Eric Raymond. It's about how to ask questions in a smart manner [amongst other things]. It's a good read imo funny in places, and very very informative. Problem is that it's huge _and_ inside a pdf [which is actually the smoothwall documentation which, intresting that it is, isn't what I want you to read -just the article].

Reading it I was struck by the way it relates to this forum, so much in fact that I instantly felt the urge to post it and find out what you guys think.

Now....what should I do?

the thing I'd like you to do is to read the preface. stick it out and read all of it.
Try and ignore the "linux hacker" thing, and project what you're reading onto this forum [or anything where Q&A goes on].
