That's quite funny, though I'm sure that would work in any country if you ask enough people and edit out all the sensible answers. In fact I'm certain if I went to one of the more working class council estate areas of York (where I live) the answers would be pretty much the same, they probably wouldn't think of UK for the "name a country beginning with U" for instance - or have a clue where the middle east is or North Korea. I don't have a clue what the Australian prime minister looks like either. :)

When he asked for a country beginning with U, all I could think of was Uzbekistan :\

"United States of America" seems like cheating to me.

I see what you mean about the Norton guy, you wouldn't want to hear a voice like that behind you in a dark alley. :)

Were children's cartoons really so much better back then, or is it just nostalgia?
Whenever I catch children's cartoons on TV nowadays they seem so... wary, politically correct, tame, unadventurous. Condescending, even, and this isn't just me being a jaded 22-year-old watching kids TV - the cartoons I grew up with don't seem to have that vibe at all. They were (and are!) just entertaining.

they don't make em like they used to :(

Mysterious Cities of Gold, Tintin, The Raccoons, Thundercats... I don't really watch kid's tv nowadays (honest) but from what I've seen recently, nothing comes close to how it 'used to be'.
