Since its cloud based it will be very slim indeed. Looks quite interesting as it could be a very fast yet featureless system...

Most websites you view track your movements and behaviour. Also thats not much different to loyalty cards and other similar behavious tracking methods...

Well I'm guessing Gmail and Google Doc's are going to be two of the core aspects, if they open this up early enough to the developer community there should be a fair few app's ready for release.

It'll be interesting to see where they go with this.

On their websites. If Google own the OS, they can track you everywhere. Its amazing to me that people will rant and rave about Phorm and yet happily take it up the arse from Google.

Id MUCH rather 100 sites have their own small silos od info about my activies than one firm having all of it. The main problem is governments demanding (and getting) access on a whim.

While this might be true, how does it make it better? Rather worse if you ask me.

maybe not shit. but chances are that if you want any actual use out of it you'd have to cram in so many extra drivers that their statement that the OS should boot up and be online in seconds fail.

for a OS to boot up that fast it cant have much more then the absolute minimum of everything, and with that it wont be aimed at an average user. but more paper pushers that only use their PC to file reports with and maybe check the email.

and its aparently only gonna be available on notebooks if you buy a prebuilt PC.

I might be a bit slow, but what's the issue with google knowing what websites i've visited? I couldn't give a shit tbh, is that just me?

Well its just an assumption that this is what the OS system will do....looks like it's almost become a fact without substance!

Well personally I don't want Google to start serving up adverts for horse viagra and attractive horny dogs in the Brighouse area when the wife uses my PC :(
