Been aware of this issue for a while now, but its starting to annoy me a little more :p

Seems like google likes to give you search results from your own country, instead of the search being multinational, ie, you should get the same resuslts wether you searched from the UK or DK. My first hit when searching for "Computer" is: http://www.computercity.dk/

Im pretty sure thats not what non-DK people would get as first hit.

Might not be that a big problem, but usually i don't search for danish sites, and if i do i check the boxes: sites from dk, or sites in danish, or simply write site:dk after my search. Why do i still get danish hits at number one when they aint checked? Thoose 3 functionalilies there should be there for when i want to search specificly for danish sites right?

So why do i still get danish hits first over other countries? And is there a way to disable this so called feature?

Do you search on Google.com or Google.dk? You can switch at a selector at the right lower corner of the searchbox-area

Learn how to use Google and it will be the only place you will ever need to ask questions, a good start would be using the appropriate website for you're country or the country you're after e.g. .dk or .co.uk

No, it's not the search country only feature. Take a look at the following results for the same search:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=ambulance
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=ambulance
http://www.google.ie/search?hl=en&q=ambulance

Even though "search the web" is chosen for me, it tends to give a higher priority to local links. I quite like it as I tend to get more relevant answers! :p

Have you tried the same google searches on (a) Firefox (b) different computer / cell phone / PDA ?

My laptop locates within .co.uk (Internet Explorer) but my WIFI device locates within .com (WM5 IE)

Also you should do a complete spyware scan of your computer and delete cookies etc

I am well aware of the things you say, but why have google even implemented the | Search the web | sites in danish | sites from denmark | when i still get local results higher than international results even when checked search the web function on google.dk? Seems a little odd.
