Finished my last paper yesterday on quantum mechanics, AI and neural networks and computer paradigms/methodology. Har, no more learning stuff I'll never need again (at least for now anyway...)

Do they teach quantum mechanics on computing courses? Or is it part of a physics course?

I had my quantum and statistical mechanics exam today, went pretty well for most of it, so fairly pleased.

The title of the module was 'computer paradigms and methodology' and the exam was a seen one whereby you chose 3 of 6 questions. I chose those three as I'd done an AI module previously, quantum computing interested me and the whole methodolgy...well, I didn't have much of a choice with that one

There have been a couple of quite bizarre modules on this course, they say they're tryting to develop your way of thinking rather then teach you facts which you can remember. Can see why I guess, even if it is a pain in the arse

AQA?

For edexcel - my c2 retake was bliss except I've probably dropped some marks for being an idiot.

But I can afford 2 C's at C3/C4 and still get an A in the whole A-Level.

What are these 'C' maths exams now then? I used to have pure (P), stats (S) and mechanics (M) all of which were crap but not too bad if you revised properly for them (I didn't, hence low a-level results).

The Pure was replaced with Core (P for C).

Congrats mate, I don't get mine back until friday but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be at a 2.1 for the second year too. A few bad results have pulled me down quite a lot. Is annoying as hell having results where you may as well just roll a dice to see what you get
