I had one earlier today.

Geography Skills Paper.

You had to calculate discharge using the values given and they did 1-2 examples for u. Yet when you checked those examples, they gave the wrong answers lol.

One was something like 13.78 and they rounded it down to 13.7.

back then i felt like an adult. having to get serious about something and doing work. then before you know it youre in college and going places on your own.

long summer nights spent with mates sat in fields or having bbqs at each others houses. then you never see em again!

thats just as bad as old people saying 'in my day', i don't believe in that statement, and people have no basis to reflect on it either.

anyway, 2 exams down, 2 to go, they were both pretty fucking easy actually, now revision moves on to fordism and psycho-sexual development and maturity, yay :|

all the ones i listed is what ive got, only one left is weights and measures law. today i had to go in and sort my dissertation out. thankfull the tutor came up with a pretty leet idea

I'm pretty 'sure in my day' there were and I have support for that argument.

Some business leaders certainly think exam standards are on the decline. They say results may be up but the calibre of young job candidates is definitely down. Some universities agree. Entry requirements have not slipped, they say, but some new undergraduates lack the basic skills to add up, spell or write.

Just to add that I interviewed over a hundred people last year for three technical positions. We give written tests prior to the interview and a test at our facilities. Followed by a technical interview and finally panel interview. In my personal experience, basic education levels have declined slightly. Especially in the areas of math and science. Sorry if you disagree but I have a lot experience to base that assumption on. Some of the people I have seen over the past year absolutely astound me. I cannot fathom how they could pass water let alone an A level exam.

Edit: I'm sure none of you are anything like some of the idiots I see and I hope you all do very well in your exams.

Anyone have S1 today? seemed quite a bit harder than the past papers, especially the one from January this year. (A level stuff)

Got another 7 maths modules to go now +Physics and Chemistry!

There was an interesting thing on TV this week saying the pressure to get good exams grades is making people less intelligent as the focus changes from learning to passing so you just cram exam facts rather than learning. I know that was true with me for most subjects i got C grads for all the sciences but can't remember fook all about them now .

correct imo soze. im only learning to pass exams really. though i have gained a lot of memerable knowledge.

finished my last one today, was hardcore compared to the rest. started sweating at one point.
