How does the grading of this stuff works? I mean, I see a lot of nice letters but, what does it mean?

I mean, should I congratulate someone with a C, D, E or U or whatever, or should I tell them to bloody learn harder?

D-E = oki pass
F = Failed
U = crap.

Seriously disappointed with the French one considering I got an A* in the mock. Really don't know where I went wrong

Well, I am gutted because I should have achieved higher.

I was placed in for early entry because I was expected to easily get an A or A*. To not get that is simply annoying.

parents that pressure their children into achieving are doing wrong by their children. yes, people should be praised for their achievements, but someone should not be forced to achieve very well in fear of dissapointing their parents. edit: well done btw bugz. i wouldnt worry about a B in french. the grade shows very little about your actual ability.

Very much true, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. There are sadly still parents out there that talk down on their kids if they didn't achieve the best of the best mark...

The pressure is too big I agree.

Afterall, GCSEs play little part in later life.

A*: Chemistry, Biology, Maths
A: Biology, French, Spanish, English
B: Music

(and C in Critical Thinking AS course)

and last year (to add to my GCSEs) I got:

A*: RE shortcourse (which I fluked since I did next to no revision on the exam), and Statistics
B: ICT double award, History
C: Geography

I revised for my GCSE's the night before... they are a total joke. Wait till Uni exams when you've got to sift through about 500 pages of notes and 20 different books .

Well best of luck with that, you going the full hog with the doing Uni as well? imo you should, I mean I work in 2nd / 3rd line support and there are people with Degrees earning a tonne more than me. Some with Zoology lol

As for HND, if you can do one... its worth it. This American course they are offering... whats the deal with it? name?

I've got no idea what it's called, but the word Semco sticks in my mind for some reason.

Once i get my CV sorted I'm applying for a job at either Asda, or a Grainger Games store 30 mins walk from my house, for someone to work school holidays/weekends ^^

Off to College in September (2 weeks today ) to do another ICT course, BTEC National Diploma for IT Practitioners. Been told a few of the skills you learn, so pretty looking forward to it ^^ All this networking shizzle, would love to know

And ofc doing a level 2 Maths/English A level

Did this last year, am doing the higher up level in September... Lovely course. Give me a yell if you're stuck on anything. (Full disctinctions all the way through, kkthx)
