Wow - this time of the year again! I feel like offering my luck to all those taking exams in May & June.

What exists for me is 2.5 months of partying, bbq's and earning cash after. I hope it is the same for you! :)

Goodluck!

Ouch man, I'm doing the software managment module next year :( Here it maps directly with our 3rd year project, so pretty much 60% of my year is taking it.

Same here mate... it's another of those modules where you can deem 60% or so of it as common sense. But then comes the problem of actually highlighting issues of common sense in your work :/

Ours is a seen exam paper whereby we've got to do things like remember references ... sucks.

I just began my revision training today, made the timetable and after lunch am going to start reading up on the study skills guides etc, doesn't seem like a flipping year ago since i was getting ready just to start at uni lol.

Any-hoo good luck to all else who are prepping for their big day :D

My revision is going well thus far.

Got 7 exams of importance: 2 are completely sorted, 3 are on the way to being sorted, 1 I haven't even started yet and the last is fuckin hard (further pure 2) so I'm currently working my arse off to get the grade I need in it.

A lot of people find them difficult so don't worry :) I am sure you will do fine.

Soon enough you'll look back at them and realise how easy they were, trust me.

Fuck that.

I can just about do FP2. Core maths is definitely not my strong point (he says, as he applies to a course where half of the teaching is maths :/)

Hard to say how your Uni exams will go. They range from multiple choice, to 'seen' exam papers to open book exams.

You will either do them altogether in a short period at the end of a uni year, or they will be split with a group after christmas and a group at the end of the uni year.

PErsonally, mine are all at the end of the year. The final term is two weeks long and is for exams only in my particular school. Some of them allow me to take in a book of Statutes and the rest do not. As you go through the years,, the questions will be less about describing something to more about critically analysing something.

Edit: Hm sorry maybe youre not talking about them once on your course, from the looks of that last post.

Failed maths first time around so dropped it, super hard stuff that were. I'd much rather do exams in Jan rather then June, i can't concentrate that well in the summer, to hot, wanting to be outside rather then inside and i just end up procrastinating more and not doing the revising needed. No suprise that every Jan exam i've taken has been A-B, whilst my summer time varies from A-U.. lol.

watch out for falling ducting guys!!

tbh though you'll be OK so long as it doesn't contain a wise cracking new york cop (whose 3 days away from being suspended) wearing a vest and no shoes, because if he falls on you well youre just shit out of luck tbh.

Another update because I'm a sad loser.

I got me a set of blank revision cards! I'm aiming to consolidate every maths unit into 1 or 2 little cards!

That means I'll only have about 35-40 little cards to learn! Yay!

Lol Spies, I'm glad I didn't have to do anything on that, what a joke that book was "A tale of second world war espionage" there wasn't even a spy, just a damn deserter cooped up in a barn. I don't count the kids dad, he was never mentionned til the end.

I got my last exam tomorrow then it's gap year time, working making money before I go a round the world shindig! (I do the IB so my exams finish about a month before the A-level exams finish)

Good luck to ye A-Level takers, I'll be thinking of you when I'm kicking back in my hammock :p

I've concluded that I've come to the very edge of my understanding of pure maths.

The amount of effort I am ploughing into this maths and for such little return. Thank God I don't need to worry about my other 2 subjects!
