I tend to avoid trance, as its a bit samey, although some of the tracks you listed I already have.

But erm yeah, less trance :D

It's about as samey as all rock music being samey or all pop music being samey

yes but i find castrated whales over a droaning beat not only repetitive but also skin-crawlingly irritating.

i diddnt know it was trance :p I get most of my music from listening to people talk on mIRC, quite a good selection, although i hate jimmy hendrix.

cosmic gate - Exploration of Space

(and if that is trance then sorry. cant tell the difference between the stuff. Only ones i know are DnB)

i "listened" to trance for about a year and a half, nearly two year period until the whole scene deteriorated into a pile of steaming Judge Jules faeces.
Id like to say i can listen to most types of music main tastes being punk and ska but also heavily into Drum and Bass and hiphop such as DJ Shadow and anything on Ninja Tunes really, but trance really isnt musically inspiring enough to cut it imo.

There, that was much better. I even half-agree with you now. Though Judge Jules and good music are very far removed.

agreed. I listened to some good trance DJs also, went to some excellent nights out and if i say i didnt id be lieing. Just feel the music failed to evolve into something worth listening to really, went the way of Hard House in the late 90's.

There's still an awful lot of decent trance being produced which is a long way from Judge Jules faeces

F.S.O.L - We Have Explosive
Teebee - Silent Depths
Meat Beat Manifesto - Re-Animator (Part 3)
Orbital - Halcyon and On and On
Squarepusher - Come On My Selector
Tiga and Zyntherius - Sunglasses At Night
Wipeout - Messij (From the game, I think. Someone sent it to me)
Zero 7 - Destiny

They're all the 'electronica' tunes I'm listening to lately, dunno if you'll like any of them

heard of 4 of them mank, have a fair few tracks from them as well :D

On the whole trance thing, I quite like Tribal, but thats about it now.

That said there are still some good trance producers around, if you ignore 99.99% of the commercial stuff :D

I don't go near virtually anything produced over here, it's all commercial crap.
Over on the continent however they still have artists who produce proper decent trance

Marco V - Simulated -- proper trance :-p
16b feat Morel - Escape (driving to heaven) -- very nice vocal house
Jakatta - My Vision -- bit commercial but still good
Dirty Vegas - Days go By -- Mmmmmmm... minimal house with atmospheric vocals
Sasha - Cloud Cuckoo -- classic stuff. The whole album is really worth a listen; it's mainly trippy breakbeat; fairly experimental.
Royksopp - A Higher Place -- can't really categorise this but it's damn good.

Also can anyone recommend some good recent trance stuff? Stuff akin to James Holden, Airwave, Sasha's more upbeat tracks, etc. I'm having trouble finding much of late. Rank 1, Corsten, Tiesto and the likes are starting to wear thin to my ears... Ligaya sucks imho.

//edit- Ooh, remebered one: Solar Stone - Solarcoaster. The guitar may not be to everyone's taste but the rest of the track is class :)

Indeed. I salute bungey for informing me of their existance, despite their apparenty welshness, and the singers inability to look anything but 'emo'.
