I'm looking to expand my collection a bit.

I'm into anything with a groove :-]

Techno, House, DnB, etc.

I know most of the big names from the scenes, but I want to get some of the lesser known producers/artists tracks.

Anything with an electro vibe would do incely :-]

Check out The Avalanches Breezeblock mixes, they are particularly fantastic. Tom Middleton is a genius electrowise. For big bouncy evil basslines try The Plump Djs, in particular 'A Plump Night Out'. The last Felix da Housecat breezeblock is fantastic electro, and obviously any of Jon Carters Breeeblocks or Emixes will give you electro overload.

Dance music...well, lets see what I can recoomend thats more out there.

DJ Shadow - Entroducing, and anything else he has released. Mad drumming and mixing.

Aphex Twin - Everone goes on about Selected Ambient Works Vol. 2, but I like I Care Because You Do best. Very out there techno, but with strong orchestral influences at times.

Empirion - Narcotic Influence. Intelligent hard techno from before it was cool.

Lamb - Every song they have done. Mixed bag of folk to d'n'b, with haunting vocals.

I'm sure I'll think of more later.

Breezeblocks are Radio 1's alternative dance show, they get fantastic mixes by loads of great DJS/bands every week. Essential Mixes are R1s Sunday Morning post club show, normally a big name playing whatever's "hot" at the moment, however, you get a few gems on there.

Find the following;

The Avalanches - Live On The Breezeblock 11-12-2001
The Plump DJs - A Plump Night Out
Felix da Housecat - Live on the Breezeblock (Not sure of the date on this one off the top of my head, it's prolly on the R1 webby)
Jon Carter - either Breezeblocks or Emixes.

Hence the smiley, man.

He did say he wanted electronica though, and from previous experience it's impossible to even get them to consider rock ;)

I quite like rock, but my best friends a metalhead, so I dont need any advice there :D

As for a combination of guiter/synth check out Apollo 440's Electro Glide in Blue album, some seriously good tracks on it.

Requested stuff with a groove, and instead posts trance.

People = shit as Slipknot would say.

That statement would imply that DESPITE the trance, it's still good.

English mofo, do you speak it?

It's still good, yes, meaning that he likes it, thus he may like those I suggested, or he may not. Yes, I do speak English.

I tend to avoid trance, as its a bit samey, although some of the tracks you listed I already have.

But erm yeah, less trance :D
