i've bought 2 TV's, a DVD player and a dish washer from there (the mechanical kind.)

for the items i purchased i've never found anywhere to be cheaper and have found their service to be extreemly good.

Anyway I wanna spend, prolly not more than 500 quid. Quality is more important than " but I wouldn't mind something reasonably large (insert phallicly orientated joke here), and its gotta be wide & flat screen.

Any ideas? What sorta makes are good (other than sony, which is obvious..)

p.s. gotta be able to do ntsc too, natch.

edit: http://www.johnlewis.com/stores/product.asp?sku=230160237&str=916&trsid=366&m=22 looks interesting, but it's not flatscreen is it? doesn't seem to be..

Sony are nice visualwise, but I've found that the built in sound is seriously lacking, mine get's a hideous vibration above a certain volume level, now I just leave it muted and rely on the stereo, not really a problem if you have a stereo by the TV, if not I'd recommend trying any purchase first.

That Panasonic has a Quintix tube which is their flat screen tube, so yes, it's flat screen, heh

the flatscreens seem to be going for around £1000 though :(
