Ours has just gone tits-up, so I'm on the hunt for a new tv... anyone know of any sites that have some good deals ??

John Lewis's mate. They will better any price elsewhere, for TVs they stock, and you get a five year warrenty FOC...now thats got to be a good deal.
I always go there.

Your nearest Sony Centre. You're kinda limited in choice of brands (you mean like, other people make tellies apart from Sony?), but the deals and service are pretty damn good.

Do not buy anything from Currys/Dixons, especially something like a TV. Go to somewhere like bodhi advised, or John Lewis', Allders, something like that. Somewhere slightly more reputable :)

IMO, anyway. Please yourself.

Cheers Ono :) I think the 42" plasma screen is a bit out of my budget though... the other ideas are cool though, gonna check john lewis this w/end & have a bit of a shop around...

What I did was look for a TV in Hispek and then got John Lewis to price match it.

This is better cos JL give free delivery and the 5 year guarantee.

while we're on the topic: I've been thinking of buying a new tele recently since I'm working and have some cash :)

Anyway I wanna spend, prolly not more than 500 quid. Quality is more important than " but I wouldn't mind something reasonably large (insert phallicly orientated joke here), and its gotta be wide & flat screen.

Any ideas? What sorta makes are good (other than sony, which is obvious..)



p.s. gotta be able to do ntsc too, natch.
