... to anyone getting their GCSE results tomorrow, which is probably just me. I also realise it's a bit late to wish anyone luck, as the exams have been done and if you've failed, you've failed. Like I no doubt have.

Anyway, gluck.

O-Levels were way harder than the shit you youngsters do these days.

Also a fucking dyslexic chimp could get passes in the A-levels of today.

Now thats hardly fair, i happen to be from the guinea pig year. when they introduced those crappy AS levels. The teachers had no idea what was going on and set prep (aka homework) as though we were only doing 3 subjects instead of four, thus we got overworked, it was a nightmare. My year group was on the verge of collapse!

heh :D

a couple of months ago Anita got me to toss out old skool stuffe. Before I dumped the papers I scanned through them quickly to see if anything cool resided in the aged, stained, yellowed paper.
I discovered two things that I am no longer able to do:

a)I could write really really really neatly.
b)I could compute formulae that took over half a page to write down.
c)I could draw grrls breasts very well.

The awake amongst you may notice that I have made a small yet significant error in the above. This is indeed correct.

4a,5b,2c,1d (Relgious Education - I answered all 24 questions when you were suppost to pick 3, like I give a shit!)

Not needed them ever I don't think - only qualifications I have ever got, apart from some RSA Lvl 3 in summit or other.

I never understood how people could fail to get at least an A in English, their supposed language of choice.

I did "O" Levels 24 years ago, they were just introducing GCSE's to the schools for thick kids. An "O" level C grade was the same as a GCSE "A" grade. How things change, todays "A" levels are on a par with the old "O" levels, judging by the questions I've seen.

Good luck to this years victims :)

Some say that the English Language is the 2nd hardest in the world to master (behind Chinese)

The same word in chinese can mean 7 or 8 different things dependant on the tone you use when you say it. Additionaly, the spoken word is totally different from the written.

Back to English, I cant understand how, as part of the Interpretation test, the examiners can give anything less than 100% to EVERYONE. After all, it is the person's interpertation that they are asking for - that should always be correct. No?
