Me and a friend are starting up a couple of excal toons - what two classes would you say go well together that are fun to play and a bit different from your standard dull classes...?

If your Albie chars are on Pryd/Alb and you need a transfer of cash to Mid/Excal just talk to any Wolverine on Mid or any Exile on Alb and I'm sure you'll have your cash snatched quicker than you can say 'Anyone interested in a transfer'

If noone wanna play healerclass, then why not making a kobbie warrior and savage//Zerker?
They would hurt and will prolly be fun to play but there will be some DT as you can see.

Fun Duo
IMO go for a skald and a tank - skald and savage should work really well together - in the old days I would have said Zerk and skald.
Lots of others will work (Healer, etc) but the damage add and rest songs from the skald will work well, easy to slot you into a group should you find a healer (there seem to be more around these days - I have had groups with 3 lately) plus speed lets you run all over the place.
Skalds are vastly underappreciated in PvE since most of the people giving advice see them as nothing more than Taxis.
Its not just their chants, but their long range snare gives you a great pulling spell - the DDs ensure they start a fight with the aggro (and so will take some of the damage). The rest song during downtime will mean shared damage heals quickly so will vastly reduce the downtime and the insta-mezz and snare can both be useful if things get a little messy.
You should be able to kill oranges pretty quickly with very low downtime (resting end) - especially if you choose complimentary weapon types and select your targets carefully.
However you need to both be on the ball in terms of farming who has the aggro etc to minimse the downtime - might be easier with a class with some healing - healer, shammy or SM.

Well we're fotm'ers so we started a savage and a bonedancer...sorry
Got a couple of mates coming over as well starting a shammy and a skald though - had a lot of fun already

Sooooooooooo do you need any cash then!
Like I said, if you've got chars on Alb/Pryd and need cash on Mid/Excal talk to anyone in Wolverines on Mid or Exiles on Alb and I'm sure you'd find plenty of people to help you out with a transfer.
PS On a totally unrelated note, which bit of Leeds do you come from?

If pac healer and SM are out of the question, I would suggest mend/aug healer and 2h savage.. the Celerity attack speed buff stacks with savage self buff for attack speed increase, making it a nice duo imo
