Cheating can happen in all sports. What about knocking the ball forward a few feet or tapping it to change your lie?

Well first of all it's against the rules to knock the ball forward - Cheating! And if you tap it, to get a new lie, that will count as a stroke, but if you don't count it then you're cheating

Golf is so simple that you can't cheat if other people are watching you! Ever seen a golf tournemant? There are ppl everywhere! Even in the bushes, so you can't just tap it to get a new lie. Your bag will be checked before tee off for the amount of clubs and illegal drivers etc etc

You can't cheat as a pro golfer, why can't you guys just accept that?

And what do you mean by 'purest' - apparently pool/snooker are already there too by your own admission. Only one sport can be 'purest' the rest are just 'more pure' so think about it.....

Maybe not in pro golf if it is regulated a lot. But you can replace the ball drop it wrong when it goes into a lake, try switching balls after tee off and chip putt ect. But it might be the sport where professionals can't cheat as the camera will catch it?
