Wouldn't a final will do the same thing? Or is there a legal 50% wifey payment without prenup upon death?

I've had a scout around and it seems there are three points:
1) He's got prostate cancer that's metastasised to his bones and the medics say he doesn't have long left.
2) He really has filed for divorce from his wife on Thursday citing "irreconcilable differences".
3) They have a prenup where she agreed to 25% of his estate on his death.

The opinion is that this divorce is so that she can't contest the will and she gets what her prenup says. No more, no less.

I'm sad to hear about all this, but at least it means there's going to be a "Dennis Hopper" season on the movie channels. :)

Didn't know he was dying, pretty sad.

Couldn't give a fuck about wifey arguments.
