The summer is wasted on me unfortunately...

The office has aircon and I have to spend all waking hours there. Couple that with the fact that it seems that everyone in the office is allergic to sunlight so all the blinds are always shut, Im continuously frozen and in the dark.

The only way I know its summer is cos my hayfever kicks in and Im sneezing all day (in the cold and dark) :(

I wanna be a student again....

My car was telling me at one point yesterday in London that it was 30 degrees. Roof down and AC on. Bliss.

If you have the windows open/roof down doesn't that make the AC innefectual?

Nope.
With roof down, windows up and rear wind deflector up there is virtually no air movement below head height. It is also perfectly feasable to drive with the roof down on a very cold day with heaters on and be toasty warm. Although you would probably look a twat :) If you open the windows you then get loads of buffeting and the AC would be useless.
I was doing "quite fast" on the M1 yesterday with a nice cool breeze from the AC keeping me comfy cool.

That doesnt seem feasable to me at all. Hot air rises so all the hot air is surely going to escape and therefore not keep you nice and warm.

Indeed it does, but before it leaves the car it circulates, thus keeping you warm. Trust me I've done it, and felt like a twat :)

I'd love the chance to play football in 39 degree heat.

It rained twice here last week. First for three days, then for four days. Scarborough sucks.

I couldn't put up with that heat for a long time, but it would definately make a nice change.

How'd the camels manage to beat you 3-0? They should be crap at football, they all have two left feet!

I used to live in Bahrain and the heat was a physical thing, weighing down every movement and when you went inside everywhere was air conditioned so the sweat chilled you to the bone. I always had colds.
