Mainly ment for people crying about bug abuse in the bolg fight we had in broad about every 5 minutes. :) And also agree with you its a pain in the arse especially since I like to solo in keeps if no one of my friends on because its fun.

and nerf archers with bows using the freeking jumping in keeps for unfair advantage also while they at it if they ever planning to fix the keeps.

Let's have a little bet on whether Smellysox - as well as posting here - sent the location of a bugged shroom to GOA.

I'll be betting no. Anyone on yes?

Once again, for the slower people among you, every location where a shroom gets bugged is a seperate bug caused by the geometry of the scenery. If you don't report the specifics, it can't get fixed.

I wonder if people post enough unhelpful whine threads if anything will change ? Cannot see it somehow but of it makes you feel better I guess it has some value.

2 screenshots for two sides of a tower, shrooms were placed at all 4 sides at some time.

Saying it's LoS issues and geometry flaws is one thing. It's a bad implemenation/design in any case and people exploit it.

As I posted elsewhere I was shot (a number of times) by a scout while standing inside a tower (on the ground floor). I do not come here and yell about all scouts or any scouts being bug abusers, as far as I know he/she got lucky with a bug and I was the victim.

Not saying the ani issues are not annoying/frustrating but some people's mindless comments about the whole class are never going to get Mythic excited enough to make an effort to fix things.

I have the shrooms targeted that are right in front of me. Since the shrooms are stacked they are either flashing and overwriting the white selection or I lose the target while trying to cast a spell on it, not sure, will check next time.

It's not the odd camera angle bug (I know that one), I moved around the shrooms from all angles and they were not targetable.

I'm not saying all Animists are bug abusers I've met some Animists that have put up a good challenge and were playing fair. But casting untargetable shrooms for two hours s just too much and leads to angry comments by people who are the victims of this. Only died 2 times this night to the Animist, had good fun and RPs beside it, yet it made the group disband and log.

If the bugs are fixed I don't see any reason to moan about Animists anylonger as there are good tools to go vs them on Albion, e.g. Heretic monster rezz/RR5 or chain interrupt on the Animist helps a lot.

though all this repetitive whining is a little dull, i must admit animist p*ss me off quite often. The classic is that they just spam all their dd shrooms that then procede to break every mez and root that people are using for crowd control. The other thing is in siege defence situations where it just leads to standoffs for hours and hours because no mid or alb will come close for fear of the massive shroom field in front of them. And finally, they leech all my rp's!

What I'd like to point out (AGAIN) is that the animist does not know they are bugged. In your own images, you'll see shrooms have been cast in other places. In a keep fight there are shrooms everywhere and the caster GETS NO MESSAGE to suggest someone is having trouble attacking them.

So I can sympathise 100% with your frustration at the bugged shrooms, but calling animists names and accusing them of doing it on purpose is just not helpful or warranted.

Isn't LOS checked by the server on shrooms? if so you'll end up with a ton of lag every time they cast if there's enough animists in the area. Chances are thats why they don't already have 2 LOS checks.


I have a level 50 verdant animist on Hib/excal, never found a bugged shroom spot so I can only suggest that those using them have done so because they don't realise the first time. After that though it's abuse and should result in bans. I don't want my class nerfed but it's hardly fair sticking shrooms where people can't kill/CC them.

On the other hand, stop being retarded enough to get in range of them, they only have a short range spell ffs. Hardly difficult to avoid :p

There are several solutions to the shroom problem (not just the bugs but the balance issues in keep fights) that have been put forward by animists in the past.

My opinion is they should remove shrooms from the game or at reduce the number that can be cast to something like 3 or 5. Then they compensate the animist by giving them mezz/stun or a mobile pet or bolts.

However, I'd guess changes like that to a classes abilities would entail large amounts of work, which they can't do while they are adding expansion after expansion.
