You may not see everything that goes on... you may never have had a major problem thats required attention by Kemor or one of the CS team... people often complain about rightnow... but how often do you hear from the 99% of people that get their problem resolved fast?

GOA run the servers, they provide the C/S, and they run a number of things behind the scenes that you may or may not know about. the Eyes and Ears program was set up by them, to monitor whats going on in the three realms, keeping a finger on the pulse so to speak... GOA run events, Mythic do not.

yes, you may only see them as translating the game for other languages, which you personally dont need, but somehow I doubt you pay enough for it to be worth them just running the game for you.

and Solid. lets face it, GOA never claimed to be up to date with Mythic patches, just that they'd be on a certain patch by that date. Mythic releases the patches as they code them, and I sincerly doubt that GOA gets these patches till after they go in.

about goa being slow with patches.... that's because instead of releasing them all very quickly, we get lots and lots of patches in one...
have u read about 1.62? there's a, b, c, d, e, f,g, -z, we'll most probably get that in one patch to save us all a lot of little downloads, and so alot of the bugs are fixed so we never have to endure them...

Err except mythic isnt doing that either ! the only server that sees these sub versions is Pendragon ! All the other servers only gets the final patch after mythic has finished tweaking it on pendragon.

Besides, you really don't know how the translation process goes. Most likely Mythic doesn't let anyone have the source code for the game and only send GOA the binaries. So when they translate, they must send the translations to Mythic for compiling/possibly inserting some stuff to code, depending if it is needed etc. Then they must wait for Mythic to compile the code, send the binaries to GOA, and only then they can start testing. And if problems arise, they must submit fixes and wait for Mythic to recompile and so on. This process may waste valuable time considering how fast it would be possible to patch.

And about XML. GOA doesn't make the software/script to extract the XML data so you can bark at Mythic for that. And is the XML really important? Nice maybe but does like make the game a lot worse? ;P

All that is just guessing but that's how things in the real world usually go.

Yeah the XML is Mythic......although GOA did manage to update the ML on prydwen some weeks back with a tweek.....not sure what happened about that though.

I must say I’m pretty happy with the game but right now support is a joke. I waited over a month for a reply to one of my problems and they didnt even bother to read the thread of my complaint properly.

I know of other people who have been ignored by right now becuase thats how the deal with problems that they have no control over.

I feel badly treated as a customer and I'm still waiting for the contact details of someone at GOA or Mythic that I can write to.

Guess what ? no response.....

Basically we help the GM's with issues regarding the servers, for example helping/reporting players, reporting bugs, investigating things etc... We also 'betatest' patches.

(Plus some other things that are strictly classified! )

If you all are so "god damn" unhappy about the EU version of the game why the hell dont you just go play on US. There are plenty of europeans playing the the US servers to find someone you can play with even though the Timezones are diffrent.

RightNow has always helped me out with my problems, it might have taken them some time to get back to me but they always have. Remember its people that your working with and sometimes people forget things or miss place stuff. Hell I wrote Mythic about something because I knew it wasent GOA's problem, did I get an answer back ... No, but its fine as long as they look into the things that I wrote them about, which I believe they do.

And yes maybe GOA could do more events and the events have been alittle ... long and not to intersting, but hell half the players only care about RealmPoints anyway so chance is they miss the events that do happen because they are Zerging Emain. I dont know how Mythic are running Events, but I havent heard much about it ... so what is their level of events.

Its true that monthly events would be fun to have, like in AC (never played it) e.g. It would help evolve the community, but again zerging though emain dosent build community or game spirit. Thats up to the people to do not GOA/Mythic.


Aside from that I think GOA is doing a good job.

I dont know what your reported Hellskor (how the hell would I you havent said it ), but if it was something that GOA "has to" send on to mythic it might get lost in the "pile of infernal bugs to be fixed in the future patch when time is to it".

But if it was to GOA to fix something that GOA runs ... mail then again (at rightnow) and if that dosent help ... well then its not a bug its a feature, simple as that
