GOA GM look here..make vote for classic server

1. This paragraph is for GOA GM.

GOA GM, can you make a vote for all DAOC account holders to see if they
want a EU classic server or not, like you did for clustering. Also ask in what language the account holders would like on the server (too see if there would be enough english speaking account holders to support an english speaking classic server).

2. This paragraph is for all the fh junkies.

Here you can say right now on freddys if you like a classic server in EU or not while GOA decide if they are gonna hold a vote or not.

I will copy this thread to prydwen also so they can say what they think as well.

Ruin rvr on every other server for the benefit of playing with less tools, but more FGs? How about a new TOA server.. would have the same effect, everybody would roll there, but saving us the hassle of playing on a gimped ruleset-server. No.

I agree. As much as TOA sucks it's even more counter productive to pull more people away from the current servers and make them more or less unplayable.

Look at the US - after the classic (btw classic my ass - it's still NF just no ToA) servers were introduced the normal servers became deserted resulting in clusters of up to 5 servers. If you do this in europe what will happen to excal/pryd? There are no other english servers they could be clustered to (and clustering them with other language servers might be technically possible but I am 100% sure GoA won't do that). Also keep in mind that a european classic server will most likely be for all 5 languages (see camlann) - and we all know how fun that is...

Well you can see how many people here dont like the idea of classic servers, so im pretty sure exca and pryd wont be empty just because of the classic server

I am not sure on the exact ruleset of classic servers but i think there is a range limit on buffs (to rid BBs). This will be a major drawback for mids since they would need to run with 2 shammys (or play with poor buffing). Alb/Hib will still manage since they can cast 5 buffs for each player in grp, since u can only cast 20 buffs -> 5/player with 2 clerics. Most cleric spec 40 enhance 36 rejuv these days anyhow.
