I've just started this quest, given 20 seals to the demonic servant but now I can't find Ugnak in the Glashtin Forge. I've searched all over, does anyone know where he is?

EDIT: Never mind, found him.

He's NE of the Sphinxes, you'll see his hut. Not too much aggro around there.

Do you mean the hut and forge NE of the SoM encounter? I can only find a NPC-smith called Torderos there.

bit stuck now so giving up for a bit!

I've got the artefact and got a recipe of influence, for which the items were elixir of might and vial of salamander breath. Gave them to the servant, and "an aura of prestige surrounded me". People nearby had to /clap and /salute and things, but it faded after a couple of mins.

Artifact, journal and the conversation with the imp haven't changed, and I haven't got the last item I need for my other recipe, so can't try that. Artifact says earns exp: train your demonic servant, and the servant goes on about hating cruel infernalists, so I don't know if I should go and butcher them, but journal says experiment level 1 recipes to gain knowledge in necromancy which kinda contradicts what the arti says and in any case the recipe didn't change that message :<

anyone who's got further than me have any suggestions?

Ok guys...

heres what you do.

get the item in the first place, not too hard to get seals! the toredos guy is located just to the East of SoM encounter. The hammer can be obtained from under the centre of Glashtin, just kill the guy (green to a 50 i beleive)
power the item up.. not too hard, if u cant find agramon... go back to sleep.

Ok u got it? Now what?

Buy yourself some chalk from the apprentice, cant stress this enough, it helps!
Dont ask me about the transmuter, i havent got it to work yet, but by it anyway and share any info on it :sex:

For the first recipe list, u need the fingers which drop from infernalists in DF and petrified mushrooms which drop from most mobs in UF, albino cave spirits work well, although almost all mobs only have 2% drop rate.

Anyway, once you have... say 5 or 10 of each, speak to ur demon, click recipe, hand him the recipe, use your chalk and then hand him the mushroom then the finger (unstacked ofc) with luck it will summon a dog, u will know when a dog is coming because spell effects will appear on YOUR toon as well as the demon, kill the dog... gain xp.. rinse and repeat till ding lvl 1.

took me about 5 hours in total to ding lvl 1

This is where im stuck, if people can post the locations of the other recipes for everyone, also where the best spawns are for the ingrediets would be really helpful for all. Im currently on the 2nd recipe, although i havent found where to get it yet, its something to do with a madman outside the main city. But i have spent about 5 hours farming for the silver medallions and i havent got a single one yet..... :wanker:

also will probably good way to help others and make money for urself by putting left over ingredients on your CM :)

good luck to us all lol

oh and just to let you know... the level 10 ability doesnt do ANYTHING lol... all it does is summons a MASSIVE deamon that follows you around, purely cosmetic, doesnt attack or do anything... so you may as well just go and play trifecta, get yourself a dragon egg and a few respec stones along the way lol. (oh and doesnt work in NF either lol)

However from the looks of the recipe lists, you can get good cl xp from fighting alot of the mobs, it varies where u go in pve and you can get alot of ROG drops/scrolls along the way.. its for fun only.

kill again? lol

its ur only option really, im fairly certain the item is completely untradable/drop'able/sell'able etc.. if u farm it 3 or 4 times and stil no drop, try doing /who 100 and asking them nicely...

btw u are using the toon u started the quest with right? its a quest drop so will only drop for that toon (99% certain seeing as its a self only item)

The Transmuter works only between 12 midnight and 1.00am. You will have time to use it once and once only. The ingredients are indeed random, so unless you have all the various spells, its use is limited.
