Help Go Stones

I want a nice set of Go stones to go with the lovely board I was given for my birthday. I've not had a lot of luck in Edinburgh, and I'm lazy, so I'm going to take advantage of the forums mad bargain hunting skills.

You've got a budget of £25 including shipping. I'm not too bothered about bowls, but if you can manage those in the budget, that would be a bonus. There will be a prize* for the winner.

[edit]You want the glass ones, cunning priced at just over 20 quid. they come in reasonable plastic containers but nice wooden bowls look sexeh and make good noises when you pour a load in.

So you've never played anyone who is any good then, ECA? Put it this way: computers can play chess and beat any human now pretty easily. Computer go programs cant beat anyone in the top 10-20% of the game on anything like a fair game.

That website lists a local shop. I thought it only did proper nerd games. I shall take a look there. If they don't have any, I'll just order those glass ones when I get back from holiday.

The game does look like it takes ages to get any good at. Which is kinda why it interests me.

Will, buy a stone polishing kit and go hunting around Jockland for some nice examples. Then you can polish them up and have your own set. Its easy to do, my dad used to have a polishing machine and you could make some lovely things with it.

You could use sedimentary rocks for one side, and igneous for the other. They'd look very nice.

I don't think I can be arsed finding 361 correctly sized stones, as nice as they might look when done.
