The ref gave yellow/red for two consecutive fouls, doh!. Every serious football player knows how to avoid fouls and cards in situations like this, but apparently Lucic doesn´t. Come on, you lost a match where YOU had everything in your hands.. even a penalty. Don´t make it look as if it was purely the ref´s fault. Sweden lost this game because their play was stupid and uninspired.

Did you even see the game? If the 2nd thing was worthy a yellow card there would be 2 goalies playing each other on the field after 20 mins.

the 2nd yellow wasnt even a foul, he just brushed him with his arm. wouldnt have altered the result though i dont think, the sweded still played badly.

Ye they sucked bad first 25 but that ref sure did not help. Should have been free kick to Freddie 5s before that but nooo

The decision was hard, no doubt, but my point is, that a professional player in such an important game should be a bit smarter that Lacic was.

Lucic did nothing wrong in the second case. So exactly HOW should he have been smarter according to you? And why exactly didn't Sweden get a free kick just the moment before when Ljungberg was torn down?

Btw the ref looked like he had been paid off when he held up the red card. Couldn't stop thinking about his new Ferrari and the women in the backseat.

Yes, Sweden was asleep the first 20 minutes, but with unjustly sending off Lucic, the ref made sure they could never rise. The penalty kick shouldn't even have been a penalty and was clearly a poor attempt to compensate at a time when the damage was already done.

Aaaaanyway... that said, Swedish players except for Isaksson and Ljungberg didn't deserve to win after those first 20 minutes. It just sucks to have the ref unjustly make it impossible.
