Woman buys two phones off ebay for around $450 total, seller sends her two pictures and a phone call of "ha ha sucker - thanks for the cash" as the advert said in small print at the bottom "for a photo"

Judge awards the maximum amount for a small claims court and scammer has to pay back $5000

But the auction described the phone, and then only at the bottom said pictures only.
If she'd just put in the topic, "phone blah" and then same in the auction, with a photo then her position is slightly more defendable, its the fact that she discribed the phone that screwed her legally.

She was a real judge for quite awhile I think.

And the damages awarded are paid by the producers. So the girl probably agreed to go on the show to get out of paying in real court.
