How is the GMT working with Summertime. Do you turn the clock aswell? Got confused talking here at work about it. :)

GMT does not have summer time.

Britain does have summer time, but then they run GMT+1 as mentioned above BST.

BST=GMT+1 hour
CET summer= CET winter +1 hour

GMT = CET winter -1 hour
BST = CET summer -1 hour

Basicly, they use BST as summertime - where we just use CET+1 as summertime. So 17:00 hours in Sweden will always be 16:00 hours in England, no matter the time of year.

At least that's how I think it works. :D

Aye, GMT is always GMT, it doesn't even have a +/- state! Spawn of satan!

And yes, the BST is just so the Brits can stay in the same "universe" with the rest of the world as they hogged the best timezone way back when.

Sleep? What is this sleep you speak of?

You know, the thing you do when you get in your coffin until the evil daylight disappears and your fellow creatures of the night are free to roam the lands again.

GMT as such is the universal code to figure out time. gmt is 0 compared to other time zones (so a +9 timezone is gmt+9 hours). Never changes as said a couple of times.
