Erm no, servers are back up and have been for about 15-20mins. However NF, housing and task dungeons seem to be down (at least i cant get into them).

The server is fine. There's no bug on the server(s) that's causing this. It's a failure in one of the routers on the network leading to it and there are people working on it at the moment.

if a router died... use the backup? or don't we pay enaugh to have a spare one for backup in case stuff like this happend....

hmm no offence but why was ToA-Excal/NF down then while housing etc etc were up?

You pay more then, im happy with a 4hr callout or whatever GoA has, plenty of things to do in RL, although I can empathise for those kicked out mid group/raid on prime time saturday.

That router seems to handle the zones then as well since some worked and some didnt.

It could be a router problem as in the router is not routing to the specific nf server. Its not always doom everything has blown.

No because if they rebooted the server then zones would come up over a few minutes so it would be normal that some zones are unavailable straight after restart.

Not true.

I dont know how the servers are build but im guessing prydwen(for an example) consist of more than one "server". Ie zones are divided into several servers which are all clustered together. Those servers could then be connected thru a router/switch which, in case of failure, could cause that some zones works and some dont.

well I pay 12€ each month each account... well theres what 20.000 accounts... thats 240.000€ each month 1 extreeme router cost aprox 156.250€ (extreeme is a name of a router, price is the price in denmark for such router that can manege up to 300 server/switches/clients (hardwire) at 1Gbit connection)
now if they earn enaugh money each month to buy almost 2 of them they should have enaugh to have a spare if it crashes...
just my oppinion.
