Well, it's time for my annual "Leaving the house to get stoned in a field", for I begin my journey to Glastonbury this afternoon. Hope you all play nice while I'm away (as if) and don't flame too many of the poor new posters (he really was being serious about the overclocking advice ;)).

Well, after the Rostkilde festivial, where people were crushed to death due to overcrowding, and the huge number of people who jumped the fence in 2000, the wall is a condition of the licence. Too many jumpers, not enough room.

Yes, after all you should be allowed to spend a weekend on someone's land, watching music played on expensive stage, sound and lighting set ups, whilst vast numbers of staff make sure things are generally alright for free.

Going up to an ice cream van with my mate, who asks "have you got any coke ?"
To which the bloke replies "yeah , five pound bags and ten pound bags".
To which my mate replies "no, a can of coke".

Hehe, I live about 10 miles from Stonehenge when I'm not at uni, it's a bit disappointing irl, tbh.

It wernt in them days m8 I promise you that :)
See that big feild on the other side of the road to the stones? it would be full of people as far as the eye could see. And this festival went on for months, not a week.
The first time I saw it was on a news program where they were going on about stuff being sold openly and how it was disgusting and everything. That was on a tuesday. Me and my mates were there by friday :)

There's a significant difference between downloading an mp3, which I will end up buying if I enjoy, and bunking into Glastonbury under some kind of pretence that it should be free.

lol - of course it's ok to charge. it's just that when i was a youngster we all used to hop the fence, or pay some dodgy geezer to stamp our hands for a fiver. it was really great fun. i miss being so young and carefree :)

I have absolutely no idea what you are trying to say here, but my point was that many of the mp3s I have downloaded in the past I have ended up buying.

Uh, I'm guessing you aren't aware of the vast swathes of music available at Glasto, unless you are exclusively into 17th century chamber music, you'll find someone playing music you like.
