Giving rep

When I click on the scales on someone's post to give some rep... as soon as I move the mouse the little popup disappears. The only way I can put in words (or select "disapprove" if TdC has made another bad joke) is to click the scales and then tab through to the button and use spacebar to hit it. Is it just me this happens to?

Using FF 3.5.7 but it's done it in previous versions of FF... I shall go and try it in Chrome, Safari and IE and see what happens (didn't think of that before about 10 seconds ago).

I'm on 3.5.7 and don't have the same problem. Have you tried disabling all add-ons in firefox?

Humm disabled all add-ons and it works fine, here starteth the long process of trying to figure out which one caused it.

Well that didn't take as long as I thought it would, autoHideStatusbar is the culprit. Which is sort of logical I suppose (in that it's that sort of add-on - hiding things and being generally mischievous).

(you must have a big mouse to need more than one hand)

Huzzah, that add-on has an option to turn on an on/off button on the statusbar and the rep popup doesn't vanish when the add-on is turned off. All is now functioning properly. tbh I needed to go through my add-ons anyway, there are quite a few that I don't actually use.
