To be honest, it would almost certainly die to the mutated airborne diseases that exist now which we are immune to - wicked idea tho hehe

If we didnt have WW2 chances are we wouldnt have much of the technology used today, and that technology has saved lives, interesting dilemma isnt it - save a life in the past, loose a life in the future.

Very true, but does that also mean that those inventions wouldve been made later if WW2 hadnt happened? then I'd say lets wait 10-50years and save those millions of lives.

But yes, an interesting....lets call it a dilemma :p

I think most ppl here might be fooling themselves. Even if you knew the things you do now, its absolutely not certain you COULD change urself enough to right the wrongs. We are but human and succumb to our greedy, lazy selves even if we know better. You see it every day. Do you try changing the things you have mentioned in this thread even now, as you know some of what you do is wrong or not what you really wanna do?

Carpe Diem is another great quote in this context...Extremely hard to live by and I wish personally that I was better at it. I'd HATE to wake up 50 years from now and think FFS the things I shouldve/couldve done with my life ;)

Sorry, didnt mean to depress anyone. :D Just food for thought.

Im not so sure, certain inventions have only happened due to a state of war. Many inventions are found which solve a current problem or need.

Anyway I just wanted to get people to think a bit :) and its worked hehe.

I wouldn't make the mistake I made at 15 of turning down Susan Carter because I was a bit scared of what my mates would think. Tragic huh? Oh regrets, I could write a book full just on the first half of my life alone. :p

i dont think i would change it i might, i mean tbh i regularly wish i could have certain areas of my memory erased because they hurt so much to think of but then theres the old addage "what doesnt kill you makes you stronger" and i guess i need all that painful stuff because i learn from it.

and tbh the last 5 years have been excellantamondo

Yeah, i'd go back, invest in some heavy stocks, make a killer profit and not take a single bit of loan. I'd be set for life when i hit 21 again.

I'd have to wait for the bloody 90's to be over, again, but damn it would be fun.

Then i'd just wait for last year and hook up with my ex(i know exactly where to be *laughs*) and this time make the right choice, not that i don't mind the way we are now as best friends.

About world events? Nah, wouldn't warn anyone. Just 'cause...i don't really need a reason to or not to.

got a little scenario;

if you did go back and stop 9/11 happening. A business woman goes to work in the trade towers, just like any other day. Finishes, goes home. The next day, shes on her way to work and a bus runs her over, and she dies. Now because you stopped the disaster the day before, it would be your job to stop her from dieing now surely?
If you were stopping 9/11 for the catastrophic loss of life, Surely you would have to go around and make sure all those people that would have died dont die of what you would deem to be an "untimely" death?

idk. it was less confusing last night.

I wouldn't change anything cuz I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.

I've had some pretty shit times but they all taught me something and likewise I wouldn't want to win the lottery or anything like that cuz then I may not appreciate the other good things I did get and end up losing them.

The likelihood of your typical FH muppet being able to do anything that would prevent something like 9-11 from occuring is remote in the extreme.

Oh sure, you could rant and rave to the American authorities till you were out of breath, but who would believe you ? You'd be most likely arrested. Would YOU have believed terrorists were going to fly a plane into the towers ? No one did.

if i speak from my beliefs i would say i dont know. as i believe in pre-determinism and if it happend then it would, and if it didnt then it didnt. me going back in time wouldnt change the future as i believe its already set.

now if i forgot all that and believe the future isnt determined, i would go back in time. not get hooked on PCs and a lazy life style. i would get healthy when it was easier - when your young.
