We aren't going to be reopening the servers or the forums tonight. We'll have more info and, hopefully an ETA tomorrow.

I don't have any more details at the moment I'm afraid.

No no - GOA rarely changes such things. People must just know to check various forums for the real "soon" messages and not use the official messages.

@IainC, i don't mind the forums and/or servers are still down, but why give only a post here and not update the infamous image on the site.
i agree, i would be handier to have text instead of a complete image, because now someone with knowledge of MSpaint has to update the image.
getting sarcastic, yes, but 1minute of changing the text isn't too much to ask.. it would be faster than reading all the spam youi probably get :D

There pops war-europe up again!

Not for me.
The site doesn't work for me anymore. It just displays a part of the site, and the rest is ..... gone.

Can't navigate it, can't log in, can't do anything....... :twak:

One thing I noticed with flash and IE is that it seems ctrl-F5 *isnt* enough to to cause content to be re-downloaded, presumably because flash downloads its own content. Deleting temporary internet files was the only way to ensure new copies of flash content is downloaded (incase some were only part downloaded previously).

It could also be a MTU Path Discovery issue, if somewhere between you and the site is blocking ICMP unreachables. That can cause content to only part download. Lowering your MTU setting would resolve that issue. The website is blocking ICMP replys so it wouldnt supprise me if it was blocking all ICMP.

*edit* lol, just as I type this, it starts replying to pings, so guess they still working on it.
*edit* and its stopped responding to pings again

Nothing worked for me.
Different browsers which never accessed the site also still showed it broken and incomplete.
All the things which normally can get troublesome sites to update didn't work for me in 3 different browsers.

The main site is kinda borked.
Half of it doesn't display.

Beta forums are totally inaccessible too.

Server migrations are a royal pain in the ass, just give them some time :p

MTU issues would affect all browsers, although I would expect it to affect some other websites also.

You could try installing Fiddler 2 and opening the site in IE after starting fiddler2 and then look at the details fiddler reports.

I notice that IE downloads just the heading, then it thinks the page is Done, the rest of the content being downloaded by flash. If your seeing just the heading maybe its an issue with flash downloading the content, perhaps your virus scanner/firewall is being over protective.

Flash! :wanker: this is why we hate you.

Wish some official would give us reason why they so stuck with flash thought.

I've run both HTTP Watch and looked at the files which get downloaded (after clearing the temp.files it is easy to see) and none of it looks like issues on "my side" which I of course know it is.
However it is the Flash which causes problems. I don't have Flash problems normally, I didn't prior to the migration - now I have in 3 different browsers (all running flash 9) and only on this site.
