What if you felt the best way to pay a tribute to your friend was to have all three realms put down their arms for a few minutes in a show of solidarity to say goodbye to a respected friend and opponent?

I wonder if you'd be quite so eager to farm the realm points from those attending the vigil then....

I'd imagine those that disrupted the service intentionally aren't very popular among their realm mates right now.....I understand one has already been forcibly removed from his guild.....

I was standing between NP and CE (I think it was them at least) and I saw them get ae mezzed... Maybe by an alb since I wasnt mezzed. This was before the Hammers fell down from the sky. I also saw them getting these brown clouds on them, I think its DoTs...

Not that I think it was a good idea to AE the hibs in the middle though...

Nah it's the whole guild, can't convince me that at the moment you lot were AEing the memorial no officers were online. A simple "STOP AEing the memorial FFS" could have solved the whole problem.

Not that I think it was a good idea to AE the hibs in the middle though...

We saw the hammer fall on middle group and a few sec after that we got DoTed.

We then moved to the Tower and sat down, quite a few albs and hibs sat there with us. After 5 min or so we got attacked and we then started to fight back.

(We have only one active Thane and he was not online, so the AE hammer couldnt belong to us)

my heartfelt condolences to the friends and family of the person who passed away.

a few points from a neutral observer who not been to emain for months (but has been in the past often).

holding a memorial in the number 1 hotspot RvR area is asking for "trouble"

i should imagine 20% max of the DAOC europe pop reads these forums, therefore again, you are asking for trouble to think every1 will know to avoid you when you are in said location.

spamming and flaming about the success or the failure of the memorial, is as disrepectful as any of the other in game actions.

i can truly sympathise with some1 losing a dear friend, as i have suffered it.

now end the thread? this goes to TD and every1 else.

To all who were at Emain, thank you for attending.

I wish to apologise for the comments made by Terra Dominus guild members in this thread, mainly it has come from anger at what they saw was people disrespecting Oggy's memory.

This post was made before they saw my comments in the general discussion forum and that is this.

TD will not hold a grudge as a guild about what happened at the end of the service.

There have been a lot of comments about who attacked who first, we should not have been doing it there, it is a main rvr area what do you expect. Well to those I say this, good on you for holding off as long as you did and thankyou for not doing it at the start.

I never thought we would get as far as we did in the first place, even GOA tried to direct me to another location, but they understood and put it in their news section. I was surprised to see both mids and Albs along the the path we were taking, and was even more dumbfounded when we moved up emain valley to see the numbers from all 3 realms in attendance, I was expecting maybe 50-60 Hibs and maybe a few albs and mids but to see 700 peeps (estimated from different posts) evenly over the 3 realms.

I was 1/2 expeceting us to die in the first 5 mins, TD had strict orders not to fight back if attacked, and am proud to say they did not, I know Oggy would have liked this tribute and I hold no grudge at the finish of it, I wish others to do the same and stop acusing each other over it and to return to the game as normal.

Oggy has been honored by all 3 realms, let us leave it at that.

I did show up infact i was there at 2030 GMT dancing and sitting with the people at the tower. But had to relog at around 2105 GMT and I couldnt get back in until 2135 GMT as the loading screen froze.

It was there rules they said until 2130 GMT and its also there fault for doing it in emain. What ya expect emain is the main RVR place... only a matter of time before one of the realms strikes.

ALSO not all mids did this so dont blame all the mids that was there.

I could moan about logging in to be ganked by 30 albs but i think ill leave it there unlike some other people who cant let it drop.
