When I'm driving for long periods of time I like to stop off for a bottle of lucozade and a sausage roll. So today I stop off at a Total garage (other petrol stations are available, unless its BP the thieving bastards) but upon reaching the pastry section I'm greeted by a row of nothing but Ginsters packaging, which as we all should know probably tastes better then the food it contains.
I wouldn't mind but I live in Lincolnshire and Lincolnshire sausage rolls are the food of the gods.

The Ginsters empire is becoming too powerful in my opinion, their crap foul tasting choices of savoury goods have plagued our petrol stations and late night convinence shops for too long.

Thank you for your time.

if you seriously overmicrowave the pasties, they get quite good. 5 minutes on full power :D

Who on this planet does like Ginsters? Everything they produce is utterly foul.

Their sandwiches are OK, they do a decent BLT.

Damn, the grease those things produce. I'll second the heartburn comment, microwaving them for the recommended time is an absolute killer. Seriously, touch the outer packaging and the grease still covers your fingers. Sickening...

The puff pastry topped steak pies are half decent as well, must be cooked in the oven though for best results.

seriously the quality of the packaging is better than the quality of the food

If you have access to an oven and time to cook something, there are much better options.

What pisses me off even more is that all the service stations have now removed their microwave ovens. I bet some wazzock burnt his mouth on a pasty by cooking it for 10 minutes or something.

If you can though, plan your journey. If you know you're going to be doing 500 miles in a day, nip to the shops the day before and get some bread, ham, cheese, and whatever else you like. It's much, much cheaper this way.

I never usually pay more than £2.50 for a Ginsters sandwich although I have seen them priced at £4 in the Lake District service stations the robbing cnuts.

Sauasge rolls fill a hole too.

If they were that horrible surely they wouldn't be everywhere? :p

This brings back horrible memories of a Ginsters pie my folks decided to try one night. It was rank, and the aftertaste didn't leave my mouth/memory for a week afterwards.

I was WONDERING where I'd seen that name.. *Looks at empty sandwich packages on desk* I tend to eat one of their products once every few days. Sandwiches aren't that horrid.
