There can be no doubt that nVidia's drivers are still better but ATI's are coming together well with each release, this is partly down to the fact it is their main problem and thus they seem to be working hard to fix it.

if he receives new drivers and something goes wrong, he automatically assumes it's his code and not the drivers.

It may well still be true. But for those of us with a long memory, when the Radeon8500 was released (Sept 2001?)...the release was spoilled by suboptimal drivers ( the rad8500 would have been the fastest card on the market at that time if optimal drivers had been available).... that was a severe booboo for ATI...since, ATI drivers have been coming out fast and thick. Personally, on my old rad8500, I have seen no improvements (or problems...anyone ??) with new versions . It might be that ATI have learnt their lesson.
