As you rightly say, gains in 3DMark aren't genuine, more a ploy to discredit FutureMark's benchmarking suite. That said, there are plenty of real-world gains to be had, as well as the improved image quality (though it still, apparently, isn't quite up to ATi's standards just yet).Originally posted by bodhi
And don't get too worked up about DetonatorFX and their gains in 3dmark. There are rumours floating round that the gains havent come through better coding, but through exploiting some bits of 3dmark only development partners know about. Apparently, all will be revealed next week.
