Bump mapping, /me loves it.

Just been playing Giants:Citizen Kabuto again (i can acutally do it now that the Framerate doesn't drop to below 10 on the huge maps)

Giant Kabuto came round the corner and he looks awsome.
Tae a ganders at this screeny i took. It doesn't fully justify it, you have to see it in action :) (also i had to paste it into MS paint so the quality is somewhat buggerd)

Yer, its just a shame GF2 doesnt support the REALLY nice Bump Mapping (the one the G400 and Radeon have - environmental afaik). Anyway GF2 MX's suck much poo, as does anything else with a GeForce in its name. So ner.

Anti nvidia freak :)

I like ATI, i had an ATI rage when it was brand new (height of fassion but when i wanted a proper 3d acelerator and ATI didn't have anything on the proce range i was looking at. I wasn't going to go anywhere near 3DFX since the voodoo's are just the same as each other with higher clock and memory speeds. I chose the TNT2 and i was pleased for a few months till i started getting piss poor framerates on games with detail on low. So i though new gfx card time, i had the choice, radeon voodoo5/4 (very cheap, shops selling off stock) or Geforce2. The voodoo 5 was crossed of first because the only good thing they boasted was anti-aliasing and that isn't very important to me since the moderate increase of image quality is put down by the dreadfull frame rate. So i keep FSAA off on my card. The v5 also doesn't support T+L which is something i am pleased about with my new board. (3dmark gives me nearly 3 times as many CPU marks with hardware T&L on).

The Radeon has nice picture quality and the GF2 has good speed so i thought GF2 (mainly picked out of a hat)

So now i run all my games on full detail (mostly) at 40-60 fps, and now i am saveing up big time for a Duron 800 (maybe more depending on how dated this is when i upgrade) and KT7 mobo, so i will soon have a much faster machine.

If you don't agree with my comments, FLAME ME :):):)
